he battled it at Alabama too. He showed flashes he could be give us some points off the bench bbut he would mess the shoulder up and it would ruin any chance. He’s a physical kid and doesn’t mind throwing his shoulder into people to create space. Hate he’s having issues with it again. Dude plays hard and seems like a good kid.
I’ve always thought for someone who doesn’t need the money getting the college experience for a year or two would be great. I admittedly don’t know anything about his game other than few highlights, is he ready for the league? Is he a true one and done or is it more about his name?
Idk, he’s a 4 star ranked around 35-40. I don’t think that makes him a guaranteed one and done but if he doesn’t suck I imagine at the very least he gets taken in the second by a team that knows they will also get Lebron
He's a 3 year player according to scouts and coaches. There was an article in the athletic about him. Apparently Lebron has been really good with his recruitment, but coaches were reluctant to recruit him because of the espn headache and the pressure to play him a lot as Lebron wants him to be a 1 and done. Coaches think he needs to develop and needs 3 years
To be fair I think he’s improved quite a bit this season and he’s becoming more and more of an explosive athlete and his shooting seems to have improved. I think he’s appropriately ranked, and I think his class is also very weak. If he continues to develop and maybe grow a little more I could see him sneaking into the back end of the 1st round.
Good game shots just didn’t fall. Won rebound and turnovers held you below 60 and sill lost. I guess probably all of them will be empty since we have running water in our homes.
I’m so stoked for the expansion of that conference. Big 12 teams regularly having to play at BYU will be objectively hilarious.
Team sports are really dumb and I hate them* *I’ll like them instantly if one of the teams I was a fan of was competent
It's pretty wild that the two biggest brands in college basketball are coached by Jon Scheyer and Hubert Davis
i don’t think hubert is the guy but he literally just played for a title comparing him to that bum scheyer is ridiculous and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like hubert
do you really think the outgoing iconic coach dictating his successor is no reason fwiw I think Scheyer is going to be a good coach but this roster is garbage
if anyone thinks duke or unc’s ad made these hires, there is no hope for those people. i don’t think it’s a good reason for either school but there was a legit reason for both
There isn't a single player on Duke's roster who would make an NBA rotation. There is one talented player who isn't a freshman, and the two most talented freshmen missed the preseason while a third showed up on campus in the middle of the summer after reclassifying. They're maybe one step ahead of the team that went 13-11 a couple of years ago, which was basically in the same situation with reliance on underwhelming freshman. I mean, we're starting Ryan Young, who can grab the net by reaching up but who can't dunk Ideally, we would use the coaching change to get away from the increasingly bad roll of the dice that is flipping your roster over every year but we don't appear to be going in that direction yet.
