I’d guess he will visit Mich and ND so in theory maybe a shot? I guess Rhule has been out to see him like 3 times already, guy isn’t taking him for granted
Early favorite for favorite kid in the class. I love his highlights. He blows kids up like Ajavon did but is faster and looser.
"It was just the coaches, man. You see Jordan Davis, you see Jalen Carter - they know how to get guys like me to the NFL. They told me they see me as the next guy in that mold and know how to use me perfectly. The visit during the Kentucky game was unlike anything else, you know. Its SEC football - its just life down here. Its back-to-back national champions - what else can you say, I knew it was home here." -Justin Scott, October 2023
it's best he wait and not rush the decision...it puts everyone in a bad spot when he starts wanting to visit UGA,etc... this is the right way
Kid is really making a play at a top 10 spot in the country. If he commits now, it’s Brennan Vernon territory for the young man.
Bryce Young Jr got offered by Penn St and USC yesterday that should lock up his 4 star status, he can commit now
I do not know what to expect next yr on offense but after 3 years of Book and whatever the last two years were I am ready
And JT with the backshoulder. Hell, our TEs can get more than 20 downfield in the seem. What we don't have is a lot of those guys who can turn a now screen or a quick slant into a big gain.
I honestly disagree. None of them are all that quick or can make you miss in open space. Tyree is incredibly fast, but he’s a one cut back who isn’t smooth or agile laterally. Estime isn’t built for space. Diggs is probably the closest thing, but he’s a traditional RB, not a WR.
I know you guys are all jaded after the last five years, but QBs throughout history have just thrown guys open and thrown to spots where guys can get it. I’ve watched more than ND football so I’ve seen it. A bunch of people excited about getting Hartman and falling into the same Book and Pyne complaints.
This. Not to mention, our WR woes have been exaggerated some too. Braden Lenzy was open deep all year this year.
Same. I'm legit excited about the trajectory of the WR room. I'm huge on JT as the go-to all everything. Colzie came on big at the end and looks healthy. Apparently the staff loved Merriweather once things clicked and think he'll be dangerous, but the concussion put him off course. Styles has flashed. It's going to be a mental and maturity thing for him, now. Big Kaleb Smith's numbers at VT were proportional to their offense like Mayer's were to ours. And as long as they don't need him to be the clutch playmaker like they attempted early, Salerno is a good reliable rotional piece. There's no ready-made NFL first rounder in that group, but Merriweather has that potential. And I wish slot was deeper and more proven, but that's the least important spot with the way we use TEs and RBs. There's not a ton of elite speed, but with our running game, I don't see issues with JT, Colzie and Merriweather getting downfield where they can use their size 1 on 1 versus smaller DBs. Big Kaleb too. If even one of the freshmen can provide some production while they all work toward 2024, we're actually not looking bad at WR. Hell, there could still be another post-spring transfer, for that matter. The offense won't revolve around the WRs. They just need to be able to make teams pay, along with the QB, when defenses sell out to stop the running game and potentially the TE, if the others emerge to their potential.
I’d personally only have 2 or 3 RBs in top 100, they don’t get drafted in first three rounds in the NFL it’s a luxury position now
I had a drive by shitpost in the Scott thread on the 4HL yesterday. I logged in today expecting an avalanche of downvotes, per usual, but the crowd loved it and there are more and more people starting to call out Loy on his bullshit. This fanbase is learning.
