Unless I’m missing something, I think he just happened to be live-streaming; not doing so in the midst of the event and being super calm about impending death.
Pretty sure from his perspective at that time it was just turbulence and they were about to land. We have all been in turbulence and I imagine I would be calm as well because we trust the pilots.
reports are it was flying fine like nothing happened and then dropped out of the sky immediately like a stall. I don’t think anybody knew anything until the second it happened.
this makes sense - when he shows out the window they’re low but doesn’t look like they’re losing altitude at an incredibly fast rate, and the rest of the plane seemed calm enough.

Yeah I posted before reading the comments. Apparently he had just had a car accident and may have been on bad medication. A few shots to the knees at worst would have taken him out. Dumping a dozen rounds into him seems, to put it mildly, like an overreaction.
Correct, when they shoot, they shoot to kill. And in instances where shooting is necessary I agree with that. However in this case. A taser would have been the preferred option and lethal force does seem unnecessary.
