Got my preorder shipment email today Calypso Protocol looked amazing and was fun but not on the same level as Dead Space. Can’t wait to fire it up over the weekend when it’s delivered
I played very little of it but I remember it having one of the best examples of in-universe menu interfaces. That and Nier are often pointed to as golden examples of game design for logical menus that fit in.
3rd person action in a horror setting. Mostly linear levels with some exploration possible. Upgrade weapons/etc along the way. It was pretty great.
FFX was the last FF I thought was good and yet I buy every installment like a little piggy. Can’t wait for my next serving of slop
Dead Space was one of my top 3 games at the time. It was an amazing game. that said I’m scared to see it in hd. A lot of tense rooms in that game.
YOU DIDNT LIKE FFX-2!?!? But yea, I thought 15 was…fine. Good enough. 10 was the last really good one though. We’ll see what happens with this one.
X-2 was decent but story was nothing compared to X. I played through 15 right at launch which seems like it was mistake with all the updates they did. There were basically no fucking summons in 15 it was fucked up. I play FF to summon gigantic mythical beings to blow up my enemies. FF9 was the last to have a real overworld travel and I quite miss it.
I haven’t played it since it released so I truly don’t remember much but I did think the job/class changing was cool. The story though…so stupid and lacking of what made FFX so good.
I played one of the FF and it was lowkey solid. However, I do get where you're coming from, I can't bring myself to watch anime, JRPG, or anything of the likes. Just doesn't do it for me. I've also never watched Star Wars, Trek, or anything similar.
Am playing the FFX re-release on Steam with some cheats built in. Being able to speed up movement or interactions in grind-heavy areas is awesome. I still love this game.
I tried playing multiple FFs and just can’t do it, the combat seems super stale and full of a bunch of on screen flashes that are kinda over done. Plus the stories just always seem like quirky kids getting by with the power of friendship type shit. This new kinda medieval fantasy one coming out seems different and interesting but I have zero faith in Square to do anything
Just ordered the new DualSense Edge controller. Is it way too expensive? Yes. Do I care? Not really. Excited to try it out and be disappointed. I have honestly found that the self-install back button and mouse click trigger kits are pretty decent, which lessens the necessity of a controller like this, but I’m still a dumbass who needs to see it for myself anyway.
Initial things I saw were really positive so hope it works out for you. Not something I need personally but I get why people get them. I’m kinda surprised it’s not a launch day option nowadays other than for production capacity issues.
FF, COD, and Pokemon will just keep throwing out games even if they’re shit because people will always buy them
Also when I bought my PS4 it came with an Arkham game and a FF game. I’ve never opened that FF game. Cool story.
I replayed X over christmas. I ended up getting to the point you can play blitzball and just playing dozens of games of blitzball.
Wasn't going to post that I got it if nobody else did, so thanks. Loving it so far. Removing and replacing all the different parts is ridiculously easy. Now I can just hope for games to add the ability to fully customize controls in game, including 2 extra slots to make the paddles anything you want (not just replacing an already mapped button). Doubt that ever happens, but one can wish.
Really I'd prefer to have unlimited control over in game inputs. If I want a specific consumable/hotkey/etc to be L2+left paddle and something else to be X+O+Left paddle then I absolutely should be able to do so. It would add ridiculous value to console gaming and really open up controller possibilities. That's why I think Microsoft/Sony really fumbled the ball this gen by keeping the base controller paddle-less. I still think the Dualsense is an extremely innovative addition to console gaming, and probably the most innovative/influential base controller ever, but so much more could have been done
If you don’t like your controller you can send it to me. It is my birthday after all. I only need paddles to jump shot nerds on caw uh dooty
I'll send you a picture of it, and that will have to suffice. Also, download the Dead Space Remake from my profile. Happy Birthday!
I'm probably going to get one eventually. I wanted to see how people liked it before I but the bullet.
You motherfuckers notice everything. I hate posting pictures on here because you fuckers zoom in on everything.
Love the edge. Hoping battle beaver comes out with tension sticks for it soon. Also with the taller profile sticks were concave.
I like on the Scuf you can have 3 profiles, and you assign the paddles by holding the profile button. Xbox makes you go into the app to change.
