there’s slightly better out there but I had previously been signed up and they seem legitimate vs some of the other online banks with rates a tick higher. This is fdic insured and all that
imagine having unlimited funds and choosing to spend your days engaging “catturd2” and “libs of Tik tok”
Gotta love capitalism. Meta fired 11k people, just reported record Q4 revenue & a $40,000,000,000 stock buyback for investors. Shares up 25%
Chevron just announced a $75 billion stock buyback, which is 20% of all outstanding shares. Seems like a lot of profit at the pump. Don’t see any stickers on gas pumps for that. Let’s go Brandon!
This country's addiction to oil and gas will be written about ad nauseum as a primary cause of its downfall.
My bet is still on our love of racism. I think the US is pretty well positioned for the post-O&G energy future, and also one of the countries rich enough to deal with all the various O&G-induced climate disasters
Culturally I completely agree when the two party system starts to be dissected. Economically, I think O&G will be used as the case study of how hyper capitalism infects the economy and disproportionately impacted the political scene and stalled the country's needed transition to renewables to help mitigate the inevitable economic decrease of our victorious post-WWII economy.
While gross to see a company laying off 11k people while buying back $40b in stock, I can chalk that up to capitalism. The airline ones irk me way more bc they get so many subsidies and bailouts and then turn around and buy back stock. I'm sure Meta gets them to a lesser degree too. Really should be a rule in place that prevents any subsidies if you buy back stock instead of investing in your company/people.
Lol at using “some people did something” out of context as justification after literally laying everything down for trump and his mouth. this is satire part infinity
I've read several of these but this one really plays bare how outright cartoonishly evil insurance companies are. The people who work for them absolutely do not have a moral compass want an easy paycheck, god forbid patient may need treatment beyond the FDAs recommended guidelines.
I work (3 months in) for fortune100 company with a gazillion employees on Cigna and I just don’t know how to navigate any of this still. Had to pay $200 for an urgent care visit tonight to eventually get to a deductible. This system is so fucking stupid.
I would spent like a grand to watch a PPV debate between those two. if MTG had an ounce of shame or self awareness, she'd probably kill herself by the end.
“Companies - seeing labor costs skyrocket - must raise prices to meet executive compensation targets.”
lol and of course futures are sharply down because strong jobs MUST mean inflation which means more rate hikes! Just fucking nuke the Earth man.
Right. My first thought after seeing the numbers - Nice! oh wait maybe not nice because it justifies more rate hikes in their idiot minds. The absolute dumbest timeline
