If Rees is adamant we bring him I guess I could see it, but we’ve shown no interest in a transfer QB this offseason.
How would that look? Drop out and skip spring? Go through spring and then leave? Stay enrolled and leave the team? I can't imagine he would go through JUST spring ball here.
Definitely best to allow Saban to micromanage the QB position from a roster perspective and let Tommy call the plays.
honestly i hope he knocks it out of the park and pisses all over BK at every turn. don't like it, but it's life.
I mean, maybe. If I wake up tomorrow and read a rumor that Hartman left campus today I’m not going to be surprised.
It's weird to say given he had an opportunity to join the best program in college football working under maybe the greatest college coach ever, but I'm a little surprised he took the job. He seems tailor made to be an NFL OC one day, and he seemed like he could get that - if not this off-season, then definitely next. Expectations there will be essentially perfection or else the sheen will come off his brand. He finally had the QB and skill position room set up next year (with arguably the best tackle combo in the country) and was in a situation he had been building to for a while. Maybe he was afraid of what it would mean if he didn't succeed with next year's team, but an odd gamble unless he doesn't view himself as an NFL OC
Hartman endearing himself to the fanbase by posting for the first time since he announced is a solid face move.
Saban sees Georgia win back to back titles with a white, short, athletically challenged QB and decides that is the new meta for winning and goes out and gets the ultimate whisper of untalented whites
What was Rees' biggest recruiting win on the trail? Where a prospect said "I am coming because I wanted to play with Tommy Rees"
Can't count a recruiting win until they've signed or else Al Washington would have had a really nice year
Idk but Loy is already giving interviews to Bama’s 247 site saying he is a very strong recruiter and evaluator of talent lol He’s gone Tom you don’t need to suck him off anymore. You’re no longer his mouthpiece
Singer is going off on his podcast. Said Reese did the Miami interview last year because he was pissed off about Parker
Surprised I’m the first to say this… Fuck Tommy Rees. He knows how bad the optics of this are. If he doesn’t want to be at ND then go get a job in the NFL since he’s allegedly so highly regarded.
Confirmed Rees is a petulant child And this tracks with Rees refusing to allow an older coach with experience come in as an analyst to help him
No lol. Singer isn’t afraid to call it like it is unlike Loy who will never bite the band that feeds him
I never saw the Freeman / Rees dynamic lasting more than a couple years. Rees was too close to the job (believe he actually had an interview) and now its too far away (at a minimum Freeman should have a hold on this job another 4-5 years) Honestly, rip the band aid off now with the OC in a good position to succeed with next year's offense, Carr looking like he's coming no matter what, etc. Better now than in December before a Bowl game when everyone decommits and we start over next year with a new QB, O-Line, etc.
I am alone tonight so will live tweet the coach d updates now. I could only make it through 20 min of singer
