What is wild is he has receipts. Someone gave him shit a while back and he showed tweets or posts where he absolutely did call it
i thought you meant this year at first, that he did not call. He thought they would suck this year but he absolutely called the 2019 lsu team being good. He hates Matt Canada with a passion. He thought their offense would explode once canada was out. seriously d3 is a moron for many reasons but he knows ball.
Bk interviewed Moorhead on a beach in florida and then put stipulations on the job to the point he turned it down so kelly could give it to Rees
Not shocked Tommy wasn’t well liked internally. There have been rumors about the Parker hire pissing him off. And Driskell hinted heavily all year that Stuckey had no say when it came to what WRs were getting playing time (especially in regards to Tobias) and it was causing internal resentment.
Oof, that’s a good news bad news type of deal. If true Freeman needed to really put a foot down and tell rees to do as told. He might ´ve done that but it did not seem to resonate very well. good part is I would take Freeman over rees in a heartbeat in any type of trade. Now is time for swarbrick to help Freeman by letting him take full control. You bet on this guy, let him do his thing. Can’t go halfway
I dont want more shakeup. I like all the coaches to be honest. Idk who would leave. HH would be a travesty. DMac and Stuckey impressed me. Parker is only one I wouldn't be sad about .
Yeah, and I am very confident that Freeman is well aware of that. Hence the offensive line/defensive line driven program theme. I am sure hiestand will be consulted for this new hire. And he will probably say ´i don’t care as long as we don’t run that soft ass air raid offense ´
I really need someone to compile the 10 years of Tommy Rees haunting ND fans: Interceptions, Tulsa, the fight, getting cut after 1 practice in the nfl, etc
Give me one of Brady, Moorhead, or Denbrock (in no particular order) and Hartman staying. If we do that, we’re 100% back on track.
I find the Ireland/Tommy thing funny. As player gets suspended misses Ireland As Coach 1st time. Covid season didn't go As Coach 2nd time. Leaves staff
Confident in Hartman staying after his posting last night (unless we hire a complete clown), so you should be safe there. Brady has the greatest risk reward delta, Moorhead is interesting but I'm not sure he fits the staff all that well (absolutely nothing but vibe reading), and Denbrock feels like a Kelly hire because he is. I'd be cool with any of the 3.
Here's my unprofessional plagiarizing and some of my own research list (like some actually most of my hs papers). Brady Morehead Grubbs Coen Next tier Crandle Ludwig-Utah Willie Korn-Coastal Carolina Charlie Weis Jr-Ole Miss Andy Kotelnicki-Kansas Aaron Roderick-BYU Jimmie Dougherty-Arizona (seen him coach up close quite a bit) Brian Lindgreen-Oregon St Dougherty intrigues me. He was with Harbaugh at USD and Michigan for 1 year before coming back to UCLA and Arizona offense was really good this year after being awful before. Plus I know him. Good guy
I gave up. 45 min on each potential candidate was too much. Sounds like the beat is rallying around Moorhead
Lol Sampson starting to hint Rees got duties pulled away from him during the year. It’s like a script they follow.
And if he was such an asshole he was getting pushed out why spend years telling us he was the best oc nd could get
I do know about halfway thru the year the II guys talked about how Tommy wasn't gonna be at ND for long haul. Seemed to change tune towards end of year
Plus we all think Tommy talked to the media so it’s incredible unlikely they are burning a bridge I def think Tommy talked to Pete however I think Loy’s source is Chad Bowden
Lol if this beat is really going to try to pretend like they were dropping warning signs all along with Rees, that would be the most shameless piece of revisionist history yet.
The only thing Driskell ever hinted at during the season - and he hinted it heavily multiple times - is that Rees and Stuckey had some major disagreements about WR usage.
Really like the Leonard Moore commitment. Robdog_5 any Intel you can share? Have you seen this dude live?
Peaking over at the osu thread looks like Miami is going to pay Brian hartline more money than he can say no to. Better get the new oc fast before this trickle effect starts
Cool with Moorhead, like that he has experience recruiting the south. Personal favorite would be Jason Candle, but not sure he’d take ND if just turned down Miami. Like Ludwig a lot too, their offense has a lot of balance and puts up points, everyone eats, and they’ve put guys in the NFL. Joe Brady would be alright, buzzworthy, but a little concerning he hasn’t stuck anywhere long. Think Ludwig, Candle, and Moorhead are safer options. Tony Alford? I have to think if you’re coaching under Day on offense you’re never really your title (run/pass game coordinator), this could be his opportunity to run an entire offense.
absolutely love this kid...his highlights are incredible and he plays with great instincts and can find the ball...don't care what his rankings are and Mickens needs a serious raise
