When you show up to buy 2 4-packs and your store says try again. An embarrassment of riches on their delivery trucks today after the ice storm. I chose the 5 freshest OHs out of 7 and the Spindletap and got a 4-pack of each.
I’ve had no beer for three week and am struggling to death with my current puzzle. With all due respect…fuck off. Why I opened this thread is a mystery even to me.
Can help on the beer front but this puzzle sucks ass. There is no large picture to unfold and the colors of the pieces do not match the shad of the pictures on the box. This fucker is a struggle.
Just had a couple Pliny the Younger at a bait and tackle shop in San Diego. Not a bad Thursday lunch break.
Jesus. They're growing faster than I realized. It was ~18 months ago you had to preorder their stuff on Monday/early Tuesday or you missed that weeks release completely.
I've been hanging out in Buenos Aires for the last week. Turns out they have a craft beer scene. With their declining currency vs the USD, most craft beers cost ~$2-3. Strange Brewing is really fantastic down here.
Solid beer and fantastic price wise. One of the rare newer school brands that can compete w 6 pack pricing from the regional brands. Their sales manager is a good dude I go way back with
So I see Trillium is distributing to Illinois but at $30 a 4 pack I think I will just go with Hop Butcher for half the price
They’re selling to distributors for the same price they’d go out to retail basically, so then the distributors gotta add freight and their own margin. I’m hoping they figure that out soon. They’ve been spreading it out and it’s new enough that it hasn’t killed them so far but hopefully it comes down to low $20s
Yeah I appreciate that it is made available and some day. Is low $20s what it typically goes for retail locally?
I haven’t looked for Trillium in a while. I’m heading to Boston next weekend so might try and grab some.
yeah… If you keep it rare enough and you’re sought after enough (they are) you can command that price point. Eventually though people start saying I’m not going to pay $30 for this… you can only chase new markets for so long. They’re scaling up and line culture isn’t a thing anymore. Almost Every brewery these days wants to avoid being in distribution and rightfully so, but the volumes you can do at a reasonable price point are enticing and depending on your scale become an unavoidable necessity .
Going through photos and forgot to post this back in Feb. Anyone outside of Iowa hear of Barn Town? They have some great stuff, but this was awesome (as are the gfs tatas).
There was a stout with peppers from them that was around a few places in PHX a few years back. Never tried it and have not seen it or anything else from them since.
I think I had a Sloop IPA at MSG thanks to the advice of Fancy . It was pretty good but then again I was cruising along at a solid 9.5 out of 10 on the I’m fucking ripped right now scale.
I have been before but I was only in town for 20 hours from wheels down to wheels up to watch Cats lose in elite 8. Love OH I though.
Yeah, but that is because we missed the halftime meet-up. I went from 0-60 in record time between tip and half. All the pre-game hit me with 2 minutes left in the half.
