I don’t think you can leave the national guard completely out of the “police” equation, given that they’re partially controlled by state governments and partially funded by state budgets, and can and have been directed to subdue lawful protests in the interest of protecting capital and the ruling class against the masses. In fact that’s a lot of what they’ve done since the Industrial Revolution.
I fully acknowledge that as a former full time and current part time member of the DoD, I am a bit of a hypocrite on this point.

A random civilian wrestled an assault rifle away from a man without killing him but trained officers can't refrain from killing a man with no legs that's waddling away from them bc he had a knife. Blue Lives though, right?
Bc of course he did. Lowe apparently lost his legs in another altercation with law enforcement in Texas just last year, according to his sister.
meanwhile, in DC: these 2 paragraphs pretty neatly summarize how much of a total fucking joke this shit is, and why actual legit violent crimes that happen on a daily basis in this city never actually get fucking solved. Because the entire force is cashing city checks and working second jobs sexually abusing the cashiers at Whole Foods

Yep, fuck every single media person who took the police at their word that the protester shot one of them.
This really makes me mad, probably because I live in the Atlanta metro, but I feel like most media members covering this really gave cops the benefit of the doubt that they were fired upon by the protester.
Of course they did because the media is complicit in keeping the status quo. No matter how much blood is spilled to do so they’re as much the enemy as the cops
That happens every time. Hell look at the 11alive headline today where they still call it a shootout and not an execution. https://www.11alive.com/amp/article...enter/85-03b26496-a0e2-4eaf-b8af-3e09ff0ca053
This was a really great read. It's disgusting that it's so easy to become a coroner. You'd think the person who is required to oversee the body and order autopsies would have to have some kind of medical background. This is all it takes here in GA
I had always conflated coroners with medical examiners who I believe generally do have medical training. had not even occurred to me that coroners are just elected schmucks, what a dumb fucking nation
Seems like this came out today. Naturally the cops charged him with obstruction for having the audacity to fracture his skull at 1:09 in the video
