I’m being civil, but it’s WWE. The May PPV is called WrestleMania Backlash for a reason, they pretty much run every match back from Mania. There are a thousand ways to run it back, but the most obvious one to me is Solo isolates KO, Jey comes down (which side is he on???) and costs Sami the match. A few weeks of Sami politicking and gaining steam with the crowd until Pearce grants the rematch at Mania.
How old is your son? And even if they've stopped watching, it's still a cool move to take your nephews to Summerslam. Even if it's just a ruse for you to go.
Whats on the card for Dynamite tomorrow in El Paso? Saw they were having a tough time selling tickets, are the Lucha Bros injured? Feel like i don't recall seeing them since the best of 7 concluded. Would be a good show to advertise/bring back Andrade too if he is healthy. Guessing there will be a Vickie Guerrero cameo
Well AEW released 10 new t-shirts exclusive to Amazon, and two things stood out to me. 1) They are charging 40 fucking dollars for them. And they are basic cotton t-shirts 2) One of the 10 wrestlers they decided to feature for these shirts is CM Punk
What's your card predictions for the next two PPVs for WWE (Elimination Chamber) and AEW (Revolution)? I guess throw in Wrestlemania since EC is less than two weeks away and is maybe one match short of being finalized if that. Announced thus far, and please correct me if I'm wrong... WWE Elimination Chamber - Feb. 18, 2023 They might add one more match here, so what do you think it could be? Men's EC match for the US title - Theory, Rollins, Bronson Reed, Gargano, Priest, Ford Women's EC Chamber match for the Raw #1 contender - Asuka, Liv Morgan, Nikki Cross, Raquel, Natalya, Carmella Roman vs. Sami - WWE Championship Edge/Beth vs. Balor/Rhea Lesnar vs. Lashley WWE Wrestlemania - April 1-2 Roman vs. Cody Rhodes - WWE Title Charlotte vs. Rhea - Smackdown women's title Bianca vs. winner of above EC match - Raw women's title AEW Revolution - March 5, 2023 MJF vs. Bryan Danielson - AEW title in a 60-minute Ironman match
they need to get Kenny Omega out of that needless 6 man title/division and put him back in the main event scene
You guys are building up unrealistic expectations that will never be met for you. Therefore, I hope Roman wins and the nuclear heat he draws melts the earth.
This seems sudden and not something that had been planned for creatively up through the Royal Rumble at least
She's newlywed and filthy rich. Either pregnant or said fuck it, time go live life with Ryan Cabrera.
Took my 10 yea old to Mania 31 in SanFran. He barely watched a minute of wrestling but he loved the atmosphere
She hasn’t seemed to be into anything she’s done since returning. She seemed checked out from the start. That’s not really to disagree with your point but just to point out she just may be done with wrestling
Alexa's one of the more talented women at the acting portion of wrestling. Not saying she'd become some star in Hollywood, but with her looks and solid acting skills, she could get some legit work there.
EC Card is probably set… Mania predictions KO/Sami v USO’s tag titles Gunther v Sheamus v Drew IC Title Rollins v Logan Paul Cena v Austin Theory Brock v SCSA Andre Battle Royal (N1 Men / N2 Women) Rey v Dom (mask on the line) Shayna/Ronda v Damage Control I think they are going to add Becky and Bayley to Asuka and Bianca to make it a fatal four way. Bray v Uncle Howdy I think that’s 13 matches… probably enough for the two nights. Add in HOF stuff.
And she’s tied into the industry from marriage now… probably better to go that route vs taking bumps.
My son is only 2. My nephews are 16 and 12. Think the 16 year old is over it and the 12 year old may still watch some but doesn't talk about it because his older brother stopped watching
I think they have “eliminator fights” in boxing, where the winner gets a title shot. I assume it’s not against the champion though? I don’t follow boxing closely.
holy shit. Get me a bottle of Pepsi Clear, an ICOPRO shirt, and a promo battle between these guys and Parker/Menard.
I think the door was supposed to break and Gigi was going to have her "barber shop" window moment. But it didn't budge... someone on the crew probably got an ear full for not pre cutting that door properly.
Seems like they are going to be signed, probably for ROH initially if I had to guess, if they haven’t already. They don’t generally let non-signees win or even have a strong showing in a loss on lowly Dark/Dark Elevation unless it’s some international on excursion.
Someone screenshot it and the Michael’s moment and it’s frame for frame except sue didn’t go through the door like Marty went through the window.
I love that Jimmy Hart is basically the manager for every wrestler that resides in the Gulf coast of Florida.
Hair looked pretty thin on top when I saw him at Publix a few months back. He also has a massive beer gut.
AEW should attempt to cash in on the success of TikTok food reviewer Keith Lee by giving the fat wrestler Keith Lee a food blogger gimmick when he comes back. Videos of him eating local food and describing it sounding like Frasier would be buys
I saw something on Sol Ruca that she's only been signed for 11 months and training for 6 months. She's gonna be a star. Can't remember if I have heard her on the mic yet or not, but in ring she absolutely has it.
Feel like this thread has been really torn apart recently. Think we need to find some new Mandy Rose leaks to heal as a thread.
it's run by Court Bauer (former WWE writer from the mid 2000s and generally sleazy guy) and is where MJF first got his big break pre AEW. It's where a lot of guys who are untouchable by the big companies go to get booked (Teddy Hart, Jacob Fatu, I think Enzo is there now). Some of the ex talent have blasted MLW for their restrictive contracts that don't pay well at all, IIRC it was shit like 12K a year. It was around back in the mid 2000s as one of the post ECW indies and then went away for a while and then the success of Court Bauer and Konnan's podcast, which was one of the earlier successful pods, brought it back. They are in some lawsuit with WWE right now because they allege that someone from WWE called Tubi to get MLW shelved when they were about to get a TV deal. Now they are on some channel I never heard of. Have never watched any of their stuff but supposedly it has a more adult/edgy feel.
I would record it on BeIn and watch sometimes when they first relaunched and had guys like Cornette and Prichard involved. MJF started there and I think Riddle did as well. I would really just watch it and fast forward to MJF's stuff after a while. Knew the kid was a star. The top guy is Jacob Fatu who is a cousin of Roman and the Usos (and every other Samoan). He is apparently not in WWE due to his criminal record (I've never heard what for), but he would be a possible main event player if he ends up there. A real monster like Umaga. There was also a big jacked up guy named Hammerstone who was in MJF's group that looked ready for prime time to me. It's prety low budget indy production though. Apparently there business model is signing younger guys to really bad long term contracts and then getting their contracts bought out by WWE or AEW.
