did anyone go to the chiefs parade in 2020? thinking of going down there on wednesday but trying to figure out a plan of attack. I was down there for the Royals parade and woof

 

My furnace went out the night before the parade so I spent the day watching it on TV in the freezing cold just like I was there while they put in a new furnace.

This post reminded me that we basically went into full lockdown after the parade and the Chiefs never got the real champs offseason experience last time.

Royals parade in 15 was a fustercluck so I didn’t bother with the Chiefs.

My youngest was also born on 2/2/20 so I was a bit occupied. Best day of my life.

 

I ordered a Chinese Kadarius Toney jersey the day after the Chiefs traded for him. The company I work for has an office in KC on the parade route. Gonna be leaning out a window on Wednesday trying to show Kadarius my jersey lol. Him seeing it and giving me a reaction would warm my cold heart.

This is super great and everything, but I’m ready for a break once today’s festivities are complete. The fandom is very intense for the 5-6 months of the actual season and that’s enough for me. I don’t need draft/offseason 24/7 coverage and I’m not wishing tomorrow was September.

 

Well we get the draft here in a couple months so the quiet period will be short-lived.

The Royals are fucking useless too so they won't be much of a helpful distraction.
