What a shame this isn't real. How do you tag a fan base? I'd like to ask the Vandy guys why these jackwads are permitted to continue ruining baseball games with their incessant / obnoxious whistling? TIA. I love CBB, but these guys are the singular reason I will never watch a Vandy game ...
I don't wish anyone dead. I just think the city of omaha police department needs to arrest them on site whenever they make it back to omaha again. Have the police just plant a bunch of coke on them. Something a good lawyer could get them off from, but not enough time to make it to any games.

Yes, I know, that’s hard to believe considering they hosted a regional in Statesboro. But here me out. Sure, they lost some offensive cogs, but there’s still a blend of versatile hitters making up the offensive foundation between Brown, Sherrill, Ledford and others. And on the mound, the Eagles are actually deeper as a whole than they were last season. Combine that with a solid rotation in Fisher, Johnson and rising freshman Zachary Harris, along with a redshirt senior in Jay Thompson in the bullpen and Jaylen Paden, and you have that makings of another pretty good team. Question Marks: I think the biggest thing to watch with this team will be the loss of some key offensive cogs, and just dealing with being one of the hunted in the Sun Belt. The Eagles aren’t going to sneak up on anyone entering the 2023 campaign. Ultimately, this is a team that should pitch at a rather high level when you look at the talent and experience at both ends of the pitching staff. But will the offense be as complete as it was last season? We’ll soon find out. Star Power: The Eagles were one of the best stories in college baseball last season, and Ledford’s emergence was a big reason for that. The husky slugger had a terrific season, hitting .345 with 19 doubles, 17 home runs and 70 RBIs. He also showed some balance in terms of his approach with almost as many walks as strikeouts. The Eagles are tough to slow down when Ledford is rolling along. Glue Guys: With the Eagles looking for all of its offensive returnees to have better seasons, there’s no doubt, for me at least, that third baseman Jarrett Brown and second baseman Jesse Sherrill are the glue guys for this team. Both are talented infielders — Brown is a strong defender over at the hot corner. Brown needs to cut down on his strikeouts and improve his plate approach, but there’s a ton of upside across the board with his game. As for Sherrill, he was a base-hitting machine last season and has such a mature approach at the plate — he finished last season with 33 walks as opposed to 27 strikeouts. If those two plus Ledford get rolling — watch out! Picks to Click: We mentioned in the question mark and outlook sections that Georgia Southern is replacing five productive hitters. Well, that means center fielder J.C. Preacher and projected designated hitter Corey Dowdell will need to step up. Both players played sparingly last season, but the two also were very productive during fall workouts. Hennon and Co. hope that continues this spring. Preacher appeared in 27 games last season and Dowdell hit a home run and knocked in seven runs in limited action. Keep an eye on both of these intriguing bats. Top Newcomers: Southern will have a few newcomers to watch this spring, but no one has my attention more than talented freshman righthanded pitcher Zachary Harris. Harris is a 6-foot-1, 195-pounder, who impressed the coaching staff during fall workouts and will have a sizable role this spring. Harris has a lean and loose athletic frame with a fastball in the 91-95 mph range. He showed feel for a power slider in the 84-88 mph range while he also showed feel for an 81-82 mph changeup. Harris could very well end up being one of Southern’s top two starting pitchers as the season progresses. Outlook: Georgia Southern made program history last season by hosting a Regional as the top seed. Though it didn’t advance to the Super Regional round, it was still a superb season for Hennon’s club. Overall, the upcoming season will hinge on how the Eagles replace five productive hitters in the lineup. The good news? Hard-hitting Noah Ledford, who hit 17 homers last season, is back for another season, while Jesse Sherrill is a hit machine and Sam Blancato is coming off a season where he hit seven home runs. I do feel like the Eagles should be in solid shape on the mound with the return of Ty Fisher, Ben Johnson and the addition of a superbly talented freshman in Zachary Harris. They also have a good one at the back end in Jaylen Paden, who was up to 93-94 mph during fall workouts. From the Fall Report: STATESBORO, Ga. — The 2022 Georgia Southern Eagles raised the bar for the program, winning 41 games and hosting a regional for the first time ever. The opportunity to showcase the excellent facilities and festive gameday atmosphere of J.I. Clements Stadium in front of a national audience in the postseason was a boon for Georgia Southern, but ultimately a 1-2 showing in the regional left the Eagles wanting more. “I think it was a big step for our program, no question the exposure is always helpful,” said longtime Georgia Southern coach Rodney Hennon. “I think from a confidence standpoint, it helps our kids, but we’ve got a good group of leaders. We had great leadership last year and I think we’ve got a great core of leaders back this year. One of the strengths of that group last year was the leadership and the fact they held each other accountable, and these guys understand the importance of that. They also understand we have to continue to grow and get better. As good as last year was, ultimately that’s not where we want to go, we want to go farther than that. It was a big step in the right direction, but these guys are well aware of how hard you have to work just to put yourself in that position.” Last year’s Eagles were a classic “lunch-pail” group whose work ethic and dedication to fundamentals carried them to new heights. Georgia Southern did not post sexy statistics, ranking in the 70s nationally in both scoring and ERA, and ranking outside the national top 120 in home runs and doubles per game. But it was a very well coached, disciplined club that executed the inside game (ranking second in the nation in sacrifice bunts) and took care of the baseball exceptionally well (eighth in fielding percentage). “We’ve got a group of kids here right now in the program that I think really buy into the team part of it, and take a lot of pride in those things,” Hennon said. “We work on those things, we try to hammer home the defense, we take a lot of pride in the baserunning, the importance of just team offense. I think our kids buy into that, so we’ve just got to stay with it. To me that’s a big part of the college game, that’s what’s fun about the college game.” And Georgia Southern returns enough key veterans from last year’s club to make another run in the Sun Belt and in the postseason. This should be another heady, hard-nosed team whose sum is better than its parts.
New CF Matthew Etzel for Southern Miss going to be a stud. Word is he is mashing in practice. Opening day. My body is ready
How was the recruiting/transfer class under the new guy? Apparently we got a couple stud hitters out of the portal so we might be mashing this year, but pitching could be suspect
kept most of the class in tact I believe Got Cam Smith to campus and he's looked real nice up to this point Only thing I'm sure of is we have the best collection of names in the country

I'm as down on the sport as I've ever been (parity reasons) but I'll keep watching that garbage. Will be at the ballpark all weekend.
Had a similar situation in our game batter asked for time really early and wasn’t granted, I know they wanna speed up the game but use some common sense.
using common sense would mean they can’t be the center of attention and we simply can’t have such an absurdity
no i am team “bully and assault umps until they behave” also your shitty robot umps would have done nothing to stop this issue
We’re talking a shit after game 1 of a game your team didn’t even play in? Bizarre. It was a cool play
