one consistent thing about the lower levels of the football pyramid is that there's always somebody butthurt about advantages, perceived or not, of some other team. Last year when Fulham were beasting in The Championship they were constant targets of media slagging them off on twitter and their podcasts crying about their payroll and talent level. Pretty sure the guys from The Second Tier Pod needed therapy to help them through the season. I don't think anyone's following Wrexham thinking they're so glad things are finally going well for Ryan Reynolds. It's about the appeal of people who have supported a tiny club loyally all of their lives - and the surrounding community - being given an unexpected ray of hope and sunshine. The rest of us are just enjoying watching it and cheering from the e-sidelines.
It's seeing the joy in the fans faces. It's 2023 and there is a diehard fan who owns a used DVD store. Like how can you not root for that guy's happiness?
I almost posted that it’s this side’s MO to give up a 2nd half equalizer when leading by 1, but I didn’t want to jinx anything. I guess thinking it was enough currently 2-2 against 3rd place Woking. Hopefully the second part of the MO - a winner at the death - comes true as well because Notts County just went up 2-1 against Barnet
Down 5 points with two games in hand. Still a big chunk of the season left with 16 league games left including a home match against Notts.
So it looks like they are owned by a couple brothers that have a soccer sabermetrics/scouting company? Does that sound right?
I know nothing about this league but I’m guessing Notts County fucking hates Wrexham for all the attention they’re getting.
Poor scunthorpe relegated out of the football league and then immediately about to be relegated into semi pro football

He does it no matter what the weather too. There’s been pictures of him in 0 degree weather. Also, I’m not near that old.
The stuff they’re doing from wrexham itself is a lot more interesting that what they’re doing on the pitch. pretty cool
