Enjoy it while it lasts guys. I captained Salah again this week but I'll switch to Haaland for next week which means he'll go on a scoring drought
weird Rashford comes in and wins the match but not only doesn't earn any bonus points, hes not in the top 10 it seems. And was the same before his YC.
Used my triple captain on Haaland this week. Probably not the best given his recent form and one match being against Arsenal but I didn’t want to have to wait to see how they advance in the CL to see how things get rearranged and this was his last scheduled double game week. plus I’m a bit on tilt because while I had the wherewithal to captain Rashford last week I didn’t think to put the Triple on him
im in a survivor-type league called Last Man Standing and made it this long fear that Haaland performance will cost me
What a terrible week. Not sure if it’s possible to do worse than Pope. Luckily I have JWP coming in for Mitro when they finalize
I had squarely decided on Captaining Rashford, then saw an FPL twitter thread from one of the main guys on Friday afternoon that caused me to switch to Haaland. Spoiler Haaland has had what, one or two meaningful game weeks since the WC?
And with the UCL and FA cup ramping up too could be a lot more value in differentials. I was probably leaning Kane this week but could move the armband off Erling.
Massive Fran Tarkenton thanks. Sitting on every chip but TC. Only in the past 24 hours does it seem like one could have a semblance of a strategy for using those.
yea my head is spinning on strategy the more straight fwd play is Wildcard in GW 26 or 27, Free Hit in Blank GW 28, then bench boost in Double GW 29. but I hate the Doubles in 29. And think I would prefer Bench Boost in a later DGW. So that means holding onto Wildcard.
went -4 for a blanking DEF to Gomez a few days only for Gomez to pick up a knock and become doubtful. now I have to clean that up by making it -8 for Matip to get someone into that lineup position. /facepalm.
I think I'll I've done is one TC this season, and it was a bust. Surprised I'm in 6th, got a lot of people I should've benched this week.
I believe I had ~53 points from the 2 matches yesterday (to finish on 120pts for the gameweek) and actually dropped in overall rank.
Was feeling pretty good about my 89 and checked our league and realized 10 others scored that or better
really unsure about my chip strategy Current team isnt bad. Currently have 8 blanks in GW28, but I have at least 9 DGWs in 29. So Free Hit in 28 and then maybe Bench Boost in 29 seems straight fwd. Then I can clean it all up with a Wildcard to deal with blanks and Doubles in Weeks 32 and 34. Im not even in love with bench boost fixtures for DGW 29. Seems like conventional wisdom is to Wildcard now to navigate Blanks in 28, then Bench Boost in DGW 29., then wait for Free Hit in DGW 34 or 37. Just think only chance for me to make a big move in my leagues is to do something different from the consensus.
agreed if they are engaged players. everyone in my IRL league in the top 7 is. Will probably need to strike big with something crazy from like a Darwin/Salah/Trossard/Mitro/Someone on City or Possibly Kane. Saka, Rashford, Trippier etc won't help anyone anymore. I'll be following Jesus' recovery closely over the next 15 days, but I cannot see Arteta disrupting the stew he has going.
My wildcard last week set me up pretty well with most of my guys having green matchups for the next several weeks and not a lot of blanks, and if I do a few more transfers correctly I can use my bench boost in GW29 with a lot of DGW's. All of this of course means that I'll score 30 for the next several weeks.
I've got 9.7 for a MF, who I need through week 29. Am I crazy for taking Sterling on this? Asked another way - who is the most desired MF through week conclusion of 29? Besides 9.7 budget, only stipulation is that I have Rashford and am maxed on Arsenal.
Sterling rotation risk and team is such bad form is the flag there. If you need reliable players in GW 28 then i get that too. Brentford seems to be the obvious side to target but who in Midfield is worth a damn? Gakpo if you can afford it for GW28? Also Maddison given he plays in 28, doubles in 29, and reports are he is "fine" regarding injury.
Thanks. I am basically between Maddison, Sterling, Kulu, and JWP. Ironically the player I'm transferring out is Gakpo. I think Jota has probably just replaced him in the XI.
I fucking hope. But as far as FPL goes, Kane is the only Spurs asset worth owning right now and he should be template given the plethora of budget MF and DEF options. Royal isn’t a bad call either, as he’s likely to get BPS when we keep a clean sheet, has improved his offensive output, and seems nailed over Porro (and rightfully so).
Tarkowski away at Nottingham or Tripper away at Man City? Feels ridiculous to ask, but feels like a good chance at an everton CS
And yes. I brought him in, starting him over March. I WC'ed now to avoid price increases from all transfer that should be concentrated over 26-28.
Trips. I’m benching him this week, but again, on WC for the BB on DGW 29 and he’s still a bigger threat to return than Tark.
