Two UU shipped to me in GA would end up $89 each. I’m paying $87 before tax at TW and these are showing up at my door, and I’m getting entries for additional bottles?
I guess I need to give it another try. I remember being disappointed for the price. Or maybe I just said it was shit because Leeroy Jenkins! liked it
BrickTamland you should have hit up the distillery when you were in Vegas watch shopping for Hudson lol
Stupid Oklahoma needs to get their shit together on this shipping alcohol thing. It's weird because otherwise we have pretty good liquor laws.
What do you guys think about Old Elk stuff? A store near me is getting a single barrel from them. I've seen some mixed stuff on Old Elk.
I generally don’t mind the requirement to buy another bottle, and I understand why they attach the ones they do (Wheatley, flatboat, platinum 7x, etc.) Shit man, let me just buy a WT101 or some other shelf bottle I’ll actually drink. I don’t even mind the store pick ask: that kills two birds with one stone.
I’ve got to wonder how much Wheatley gets sold on its own merits. I feel like the number is well under 30%.
If there ever was a man in this country that enjoyed Wheatley’s, he could drink for free off of local bourbon secondary markets.
Im a big fan of the Wheated Bourbon store picks that I’ve had recent. Some of them can get up there in proof. Seems like much more wheat on the palate that a Makers Private selection or a WFP. Haven’t tried any of their other offerings.
Has anyone had the new Yellowstone Single Malt? Local store got some this morning, but I know nothing about it other than what’s on the Yellowstone website.
I've never in my life seen a bottle of WSR or OWA in the wild at retail. I've had places pull WSR from the back room for me. But they are never just sitting on the shelves.
Both used to sit on the shelves in Ohio. WSR is pretty easy to find, but OWA is mostly a delivery day get in line thing now.
Yeah I got Blanton’s today which was the first time I’ve had a chance to do so. Store closer to me got 5 cases of OWA today but was gone by the time I got there
