Would appear I have completed this 20+ card set after years of trying to track down one damn card. I say would appear as I still need to receive said card in the mail.
PSA is $15 for non sports cards right now with collectors club. I’d be happy to submit for you if you’re not a member. There are people that like SGC but imo their slabs are ugly as sin, the slabs don’t protect the cards and their labels are the worst designed labels I could possibly imagine
Plus there are a lot of SGC bros (especially at shows) who think they should get PSA 10 prices for SGC 9.5. Their opinion is great and all, but that’s not how the market views it.
I actually like SGC. I think they generally do a good job at grading vintage and non-ultra modern cards. But they're far too lenient on anything made after ~2016. I don't really grade with them anymore because it adds little to no value to the card and it isn't worth the $. Once I saw SGC partnered with Slabstox I soured on them. Never forget that Slabstox called Paul Dejong a "Buy" and then they proceeded to sell all of their Dejong stuff under an account that was registered to the mom of one of the founders.
I’m in a weird spot wherein I want to continue my childhood habit, but also don’t want to rip product and have bullshit laying around because a) I never hit shit and b) also never hit shit. All that to say, I love seeing what you guys hit
This is me too. I got dragged back into this and now my kid wants them. I helped my nephew start buying and selling Pokémon cards. For whatever reason I have all the luck with them but sports cards I never pull anything.

Wife got me two more bowman u chrome blasters. One blue jalen carter was only thing of note in either blaster
Bowman U Chrome seems to be hot. Also seems I was lucky with my first couple blasters with autos. Wife is leaving town for a week and forgot something yesterday and had to run back to target today and said yesterday shelf was stacked with Bowman U Chrome and today there was only one left. She got it, no auto but a blue Hooker in it and a pink Richardson so not awful at all

So my current ongoing PC that I want to keep up with my son going forward are 1) I have every Tigers 1st rd pick Bowman 1st auto, 2) I'm working on a collection of hand signed Wings Young Guns, have a nice start I now will probably keep up with Bowman U FSU autos if that set stays regular. Ideas on what to do for Lions? I may just start something now and say "every ____ since he was born" since football has switched brands a few times and doesn't have a set go to long standing rookie like Bowman 1sts or Young Guns. Also tougher because NFL has guys like OL drafted rd 1 who may not be in all set or auto sets. For example I don't think sewell has autos in Optic or Prizm. Maybe I'll just do a color match Optic like the blue scope. That would be cheaper and should be available yearly

I wasn't collecting when he was a rookie, think only rookie I have of him is one of those sage hit draft cards. I have a lot of late 90s early 00s (which aren't well organized) and then last 3-4 years. Big gap between of not much that I haven't gone back and bought recently
Hit anything decent in that artifacts box ? I finally got my allure hobby box I ordered many months ago that was delayed along with OPC Plat and SP Authentic. Worst open. Auto was some guy I’ve never heard of. Only got a Raymond base RC.

I've opened up 16 blasters from various places and have pulled 3 autos, 1 base and 2 refractor, and a good bit of non-pink color.
My brother text me excited because he bought a couple boxes with cards that might be worth big money. Turns out it was two unopened boxes of 1990-91 Hoops which on the surface isn't worth too much money but a PSA 10 Jordan can go for $300+.
people who collect football, i bought a blaster of donruss last night and hit a manning crunch time. Some listings on eBay say it's a galactic parallel, while others make no mention of it being a parallel. There's definitely a pattern on the background of the card. Found and snagged a couple update hangers at the Walmart near my parents. Haven’t seen these in the wild in a minute. They had just about everything of substance that’s out right own. First time seeing mosaic NFL hanger boxes but I said no.
Not a huge collector by any means and don’t plan to turn into one. My dad bought a ton of baseball cards the year I was born (87) and gave them to me when I was older. It was one of the coolest gifts I’ve ever gotten so I’m trying to do something similar for my son who was born in 21. Bought him a hobby box for that year, then decided I’d try to buy him a box from each year to give to him when he’s older. Here were some of my favorites from this years’ box. The All Aces are just badass looking cards and the Pedro auto is a 46/50. The last thing I need is another expensive hobby but I can see how easily addicting this shit is.
