One ridiculous 20 minute stretch last year with the Rams seems to have made Baker another $4-5M this year.

 

Baker played 12 games last year. He had a QBR below 20 in 6 of them. Two more were below 30. His QBR for the season was 24.5.

$8.5M on a one-year deal is probably irrelevant in the long run, but it still seems like a ridiculous overpay.
