I always say that if you want proof of how this country is racist all you have to do is look at how the crack epidemic was considered and handled as a law enforcement issue vs how the opioid epidemic was treated and handled as a medical crisis.

Totally not angry: Parents in Pennsylvania are suing their school district over its “Character Strong” program which teaches kindness and empathy, saying it violates their religious beliefs as Christians! Extremist group Moms for Liberty as well as America First Legal Foundation (founded by Trump ghoul Stephen Miller) are assisting the litigating parents claiming that this program tramples over their constitutional rights. MAGA adults fear these topics because their children might become empathetic to other people, become more aware of social injustices, and demand change as a result! The “Character Strong” program teaches students the value of empathy, service, and connection, which are essential for thriving communities and happy individuals. In the lawsuit, one mother states, “Not every human is deserving of my child’s empathy.” Failing to give specific reasons for seeking exemption, she also stated the program “does not reflect our values, morals, and beliefs in our religion.” The lawsuit seeks a judgment allowing parents to withdraw their child from the program as well as monetary damages awarded to the parents. Social emotional learning facilitated in the Character Strong program gives students the skills to cope with life in the real world.
