Trump needs to pivot hard to bowling ball Ron. many people are say-inngg. It’s not a coincidence folks. Three fingers. Bowling ball three fingers.
I admit that I have eaten a snack pack with my finger before when I didn’t have a spoon readily available. Hell, I could even understand using two fingers. But using 3 fingers is something I just can’t get over. It’s so slovenly. Especially in front of others.
knew a family with the last name mountain. First names of the kids and grand kids all played off the last name. Humorous.
I’m just happy that some of our Florida posters are finally coming around to DeSantis being a terrible politician whose policies are shit when not being applied to Floridians.
I feel like there’s been this battle between non-Floridian posters saying he’s a whiny bitch who has no chance and Floridian posters warning us that he’s gonna be the next president.
He’s absolutely a whiny bitch, but we live in a country that elected Donald Trump president, I don’t think those ideas are mutually exclusive.
It’s literally the opposite. We have said he has no charisma and the second he gets pressed he folds.
Even with all of Trump’s faults, you can’t say he didn’t have charisma. Charisma may be the most important factor in presidential politics, and that’s why he got elected. Ol’ 3 Fingers has very very little.
Trump’s only super power is a complete lack of shame. It’s literally the only thing that keeps him afloat.
afb has it right here. It’s posters from other states that keep saying Ron is the front runner, and Florida posters warning that it’s only the Fox News version of Ron that national Republicans are familiar with. Once he’s out in the open, he’s fucked.
I will say I thought he was a threat at first simply because he’s playing all the hits dumb people love. After learning more about him and his temperament, I say the only way he has a remote chance is if the GOP machine (sorry for using this term so much) protects him and plays him as the only alternative to Trump. He’s got Fox News on his side, while NewsMax and OAN still seem to back Trump. I think he hangs around protected, and then his hubris will take him outside his bubble and he’ll be exposed. There’s a reason he’s trying to change state law so he doesn’t have to resign. Even he doesn’t believe in himself, and if Trump has anything left in the tank, he’ll expose him. I’m forever reminded that Charlie Crist made him short circuit. An invested Trump will crush him.
They make such huge commotions about "classical educations" but im honestly surprised if they can, like, read and collect information for more than two sentences at a time
Some slight revisionist history going on. Majority of the board was told to take Ron seriously as a presidential candidate and not to dismiss him by the Floridian contingent.
I’m an uneducated cunt but it feels like Ron is the first one out of the starting blocks and is going to take all the flak. seems like his best strategy would have been to say “I’m just worried about doing all I can in the great state of Florida” and sit tight for however much longer. But his ego probably wouldn’t allow it
Likely needs to raise money and wants to get out in front of things. Trump already has a war chest from years of grifting and one of the other likely candidates (Younkin) who has a snowball's chance is similarly massively wealthy
I think we're slightly more concerned than most bc we see what he's done here. Shit is scary. He only won by like 13k votes iirc. Then he oversaw the state districts being gerrymandered to hell to gain a super majority and now he's literally king here. He just had an elected official fired last week for not doing his bidding. Florida isn't an 80% red hellscape like most think it is yet he's still taken over. Hopefully the national media hold his feet to the fire more but idk how much opportunity they'll get bc Fox and Oan will shield him from it to their base. It's a tough spot for Trump bc honestly the gross shit that DeSantis has implemented is popular with the republican base so he can't attack him over it. I agree he has zero charisma and I don't think his gross shit plays well in a general nationwide but it hasn't mattered here so it's kinda scary.
Starting off your campaign on the far edges of the political spectrum and then framing yourself as more of a moderate as candidates exit is a time tested process that works. His current ideologies are absolutely not electable in a general. If you expect CNN and Chuck Todd to remind voters of his current and past actions that are far right, this must be the first election you have followed. If he can somehow defeat Trump, he will absolutely try to come across as more moderate. Every candidate entering the general does. He isn't defeating Trump so moot point.
Delaware has some underrated batshit crazy Republican Senate candidates. Let’s not forget 2010, when Christine O’Donnell admitted “dabbling in witchcraft” but assured voters it was okay because she never joined a coven. She actually had to run a 30 second spot stating she was not a witch.
Trump Extends Significant Lead Over DeSantis In New GOP Poll By Jason Hall March 16, 2023 Former President Donald Trump has reportedly extended his lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to 14 points in the latest Quinnipiac national poll forecasting the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Trump is listed as having the support of 46% of registered Republican voters, while DeSantis has 32% in a field that also included several other notable candidates such as South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley (5%) and former Vice President Mike Pence (3%), according to the survey published on Wednesday (March 15). The former president was previously listed at 42%, while DeSantis had 36%, according to Quinnipiac's previous national poll of GOP voters posted on February 16. Additionally, 51% of registered Republicans chose Trump, 40% picked DeSantis, 7% were undecided and 1% refused to vote in a hypothetical scenario in which "the primary came down to a choice between Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis." The Quinnipiac poll did, however, appear to list DeSantis as a slightly stronger candidate than Trump in an election scenario against President Joe Biden. Biden was listed as having a 47% to 46% edge over DeSantis in a 2024 presidential election poll, as well as a 49% to 45% advantage over Trump in a hypothetical rematch of the 2020 election. Trump was also reported to be more unfavorable to voters than DeSantis by a margin of 61% to 40%, according to the poll
“The diversity myth” im really glad to live in a shithole country that just accepts out in the open racism like this
The possible 2 leading candidates in the GOP primary comparing hands during a debate would be amazing.
