Just to keep track, your draft takes so far are... - Jalen Carter is off the board - We should take Richardson or Levis at 6 - Yes to taking the Michigan kicker
That would be an interesting 1st rd.... https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...r-as-landscape-changing-amid-free-agency/amp/
Maybe but I think he would’ve resigned (gut feeling) with us if it even matched the Saints offer, which is obviously lower than what we gave Montgomery.
To quote the great philosopher Aaron Rodgers, this all seems like a nothingburger to me. Williams was offered something to come back at a discount after months of saying he wanted to come back. He declined, and the Lions chose to sign the player they preferred all along while he signed with someone likely offering him more money. Seems like both sides did fine for themselves. The rest is just posturing for PR.
Yeah it’s bad but I think he’s not wrong that Hooker cracks the later stages of the first at this point. 18 is too high though.
I don't know. The more I watched Hooker, the more I think a 2nd rounder is kind of high for him with his talent given the age and injury. 1st round seems insane. I'm currently looking at trade value charts that say it's an even trade if we moved 6 +18 to Arizona for 3 + a 3rd or 4th rounder. I'm not trading up for Richardson, but I'd trade up for Stroud, Young or Anderson so I say we try that if the Cardinals want to move back.
Id personally not draft a 25 year old QB coming from a mickey mouse offense, but I’d be thrilled they found someone in the draft they actually like at the most important position in sports. Mingo pick is also good.
Jammie pick rd 3 is solid too. He's a real solid player. Probably won't be a star but will be super reliable. Two first rd picks, yuck
I mean I can't understand that draft. Start with pick 6 and 18 and end up with consensus 4th best CB and 5th best QB who will likely be drafted in the 20s and 2nd/3rd rd in real life.
He's not super dynamic, but he's always in the right spot. That said, I don't think he'll be available in round 3.
He was probably my favorite player on FSU defense last year. Did very little wrong but athleticism not good enough to be a superstar in NFL. End of rd 2, early rd 3 seems like a likely spot for him, but I wouldn't hate him with our 2nd of our round 2 picks
He was definitely my favorite. Guy's a coach's dream. He apparently crushed it at the Senior Bowl. Hoping for the best for him.
Assuming he plays the spot I hated watching Harris playing. At least that's where I think he played when he and Glenn were in NO as that third safety/nickel.
I'm used to going into drafts ready to take BPA because we have so many holes any position could be upgraded. I'm not used to going into drafts ready to take BPA because our roster makes sense and we're just looking for guys good enough to contribute.
This probably ends Chark discussion and opens possibility we take another WR top few rds. Jameson going to be more involved
