I think I said it last year, but this track genuinely scares me. Someone is going to hit a wall, bounce to the middle of the track and get T-boned with all the high-speed, blind corners.
yeah they did a little work this year to make the corners less blind, but it's still extremely narrow and fast
So the Ferrari engine is somehow worse this season than last season. They had to turn down the power after 1 race because they are melting down the engines already
What I read was they turned it down today while testing the new front and rear wings and plan on turning it back up tomorrow. The telemetry data seems to back that up
Dude, if they can’t run full throttle during a FP that means they don’t trust it’s shelf life. That engine is fucking trash
“Verstappen was complaining about his downshifts yesterday, and the FIA have just confirmed that he has taken a new gearbox. That is within his allocation for the season so won't incur a penalty, Perez has taken one too.” these cars are falling apart all over the grid, lordy
Williams definitely made a step forward this year but Jeddah was always going to be a good track for them too.
At least tomorrow will be interesting from the standpoint that we can watch Max win from the back of the field
It would be reckless to put Verstappen back out even if they could identify and duct tape it within 5 minutes.
not necessarily. I don't believe they never reported if the first was gone or just was easier to use the second one
Not sure if it'll happen or not but a max win from the back tomorrow would be so demorializing for the field
He's literally still the overwhelming Vegas favorite despite starting 15th. Max +160, Perez +450, next best Alonso +1000.
Jeddah is a relatively easy track to overtake so it Max doesn't get torpedoed at the start he should have the pace (see Spa last year)
Honestly, if you were Red Bull, knowing how fast the car is, starting Max from pit lane so he avoids the torpedo would be tempting
