48-46 after a point deduction... so Edwards won 1, 2, 4, and 5? I can't argue against that. 4 and 5 were close though.
Nah Colby needs to beat someone decent before getting a shot Masvidal and Woodley are his last 2 wins
Usman mostly classy in defeat, think the judges got that right as Edward’s clearly did more damage, glad to see the (deserved) point deduction didn’t cost him the belt. It will be interesting to see what they do next with Usman. I really hope they make him fight twice before getting a title shot, as I have no interest in the infinity loop scenario mentioned earlier. Khamzat staying at 170 would allow for some new and interesting matchups, if Dana would allow it.
About 18 months one of my best friends started dating a woman a few months after his divorce. Seemed odd, nothing like what I'd expect he'd date. New girl was a little annoying honestly. But he seemed into her so cool. After a few months, he started traveling with her... a lot. All over the world to places I know he cant afford. Now he goes to about every other UFC fight, he was in London tonight. Now it all makes sense. , Javy.
That was pretty obvious when they called him out in the ring post fight and then he was interviewed right after that.
Let me tell you all a story about how I made a 3 leg all dog parlay Dolidze/Gaethje/Edwards at 24-1 odds. After Dolidze got robbed it was written in the stars that Gaethje and Edwards would win. By the criteria for MMA judging we’ve seen the last 2 or so years, Dolidze won and it’s not really close, but if defensive leg kicks and circling away count as octagon control and damage, the English judges got it right! Vettori is so annoying. He’s got a body type/size that is just built for absorbing punishment and wears it well. And he has good enough defense to never really get hit fully flush. like there is a world where I could see Vettori taking the belt from Perreiera in the worst championship fight of all time because if he gets 1 takedown/round Perreira ain’t getting up. It would truly be the greatest test his block head and trapezoid neck have ever faced. Also this:
Murphy was close imo. Dolidze was horseshit and I can only assume addelaide Byrd gave vettori the 30-27 card. Robbery
I admittedly won on Lerone, but I did see that one as a toss up before scorecards were read. after the Dolidze final bell my thought was “well this will be majorly fucked if he loses somehow”
Dana already shit on that. It’s Colby next. I think the International Fight Week card in July is Jones/Stipe and Colby/Leon.
I dont know who Id pick yet, but I could see Colby winning. He'll probably be able to pressure Edwards more with his cardio, complete some of the takedowns that Usman couldnt. and hold him there. Leon spent a lot of time backed up to the fence yesterday. His ability to get up has really improved though
