I have no idea what made chess so popular lately (maybe Anya Taylor-Joy, idk) but all three of my kids have picked it back up this year. Also at school, when I’m making sure a kid is doing their work, half the time they’re off task it’s because they are playing chess on their chromebook.
i was at a bar watching the kstate bball game and two college students were at the bar playing chess on their phone.
You get kicked out of my club for pointing any weapon* anywhere other than down range. *And yes, the NRA chuds would complain that I called it a weapon.
Gun, rifle, pistol, etc. I guess the word “weapon” is too “loaded”. i’m not really sure exactly why, I only go there once every two years to get recertified to be able to teach the scouts how to handle a rifle without shooting eachother.
Right before spring break, our computer programming teacher asked to get chess.com blocked because her kids are on it all the time. It reminds me of a few years ago when all the kids were playing 2048 all the time.
She could have gone 20 years assuming all ladies had two. Or it’s kind of a two vaginas one hole situation.
Yup, chess.com is where they all play. Btw, am I wrong for finding chess less of a distraction than all the other things being mentioned?
