Im at $250 and hope it gets there. Which is absolutely dumb for me and the seller. Puts me at almost $300 and puts the seller making less than $15 if he had to pay sales tax when he bought them.
It’s why resellers suck ass. Only people making money is StockX and goat. At 300 the reseller is breaking even and the buyer is paying over 100 over retail for what? im not saying they aren’t nice I just don’t get the hype if that makes sense
At $300 the reseller makes $40. It's not a ton to you and I but it helps a lot of people out. Or it adds up if you do it 20 times. But yea it's dumb the buyer ends up at $380 on a $210 shoe and the seller makes $40. $130 in fees and tax.
Na I don't think you have a warped view, just saying $40 isn't breaking even to everyone. Your overall point of stockx, ups, and taxes making the most is valid.
I know nothing about sneakers but I really want a pair of the Ja 1’s in this color way I believe they come out next month, are they supposed to be very difficult to get? Forgive my ignorance, I know bourbon not sneakers…
I don't think anyone knows but that will most likely be mass produced. It's a $110 shoe made to be hooped in, not a $225 retro for lifestyle wear. It's basically replacing the Kyrie and most of those were always available.
I haven't seen anything yet. I don't think they'll be super limited. I'm not a huge fan of them so 1 pair and I'm good. I much prefer the 2017 and still have pairs left. It's my favorite shoe all time but I don't like the 86 build. The shape of the mudguard and the flat midsole just doesn't do it for me.
Is there any difference in the women’s and men’s other than sizing? i.e. can I go for my size in men’s and women’s
In general or a specific shoe? Generally nothing but 1.5 in size as for a specific shoe idk but I have gotten my wife some GS sizes because they are often less expensive X
Nobody knows yet. Normally it's just sizing. For me personally a women's 12 feels a tick shorter but a little more wide than a men's 10.5 in am1.
Gs pairs vary. Some have some differences or less quality than adults. Like the QC on the wc3 youth was even worse than adults. And the heel tab just says Nike, not Nike Air. So gotta look out for things like that.
Alright, I was out of the game for a while. I see that Air Max drop. Any others I should be keeping an eye on or know about?
If these weren’t north of $1500 I’d order my fiancee a pair. If they were 500 I’d order us both a pair
Was the skyline 1 release today or April 8th in seeing conflicting dates online and was just curious figured I’d at least try to get them
If there are two dates I believe today was overseas the 8th in the states. Like I said they are like 200 on goat so it depends on how much you’re willing to spend.
After briefly looking at them in the box when they arrived I was surprised to really like these shima shima. Walked to the gym and back this morning and no creases. Fiancee wouldn’t move…thought it was funny to put her ugly hoka gym shoes in the pic
I hate Hokas. Bought them for her because she had knee surgery and they have a ton of cushioning and support for workouts.
They’re pretty terrible looking but if you’re on your feet all day or a runner I could see wearing them. They’re a good workout shoe which is what they’re made for.
My MIL is a teacher and actually heard about them from the PE teacher at school. She has bad knees and the PE teacher said how much they’ve helped her. She wears hers all the time and said how much they’ve helped
Related question but how exactly did on cloud become like THE business casual sneaker for dudes who don’t normally wear sneakers?
I just played 8 rounds of golf at a walking only course and every caddy was wearing them. Said they are the best
Out here in the Silicon Valley it’s the ultimate I’m a tech bro douche giveaway there is followed by them getting out of their Tesla
Well here on the east coast I’ve seen plenty of nontesla tech bros in offices and it’s definitely the “I am not into sneaker culture but I want to be cool with sneakers in the office” shoe
I can almost guarantee you have, you just didn't know what they are. It's basically the shoe for the lulumon crowd to me.
On fills a unique niche in the sneaker world. They are touted as running shoes, but are uncomfortable as fuck to run in. In reality, they are a "sporty" lifestyle sneaker. I've owned several pair (last purchased 3-4 years ago)... they are durable & lasted forever
