It’s been discovered that Barca paid the vice president & man in charge of the matchday operations for Liga’s refereeing committee almost $2M but won’t be sanctioned because the payments occurred between 2016-‘18 which is more than 3 years ago.
It’s even better when you consider Barca’s response to the allegations was “well yeah we did that but only to keep things fair & Real from getting so many favorable calls” Plz remember us in 5 years when we’re competing with the Portuguese league for 7th most popular
I was not, but to expect that there may be options other than ‘total relegation’ and ‘no punishment at all’ doesn’t seem that far fetched. Especially for *checks notes* making illegal undocumented payments to head of league officiating.
I’d just like to point out how absurd it is that I can readily get 19 minutes of window-licking recaps of any EPL game , but have to go on a deep dive for any non Barça/Real Madrid highlights Guess there’s a reason people erroneously believe that anything non-EPL is farmer’s league, though.

I don’t understand why ESPN (gave myself the highlights via + since the games are on demand and don’t even need to be recorded) aren’t at least trying to promote the rights they own. NBC is crushing it with their EPL rights. Even Bein had highlights (and Ray Hudson, which made up for anything else they lacked in ) This fucking game didn’t even have a commentator until 3 minutes in
I really like the games where the commentators shut up for a few solid minutes and you just get to hear the sounds of the game and the stadium.
