SPC upped tornado risk for DFW in the latest update Just saw there's a rangers game and a Taylor swift concert in the area. Fun
This is great advice and I never even considered it. (Self admitted idiot of course). Thanks for sharing.
The day a tornado hits a major event like that is going to be catastrophic. I can’t even imagine with those 2 facilities sharing parking lots and all. And 6 Flags right next door as well. I hope we did not just speak this evil into the world.
And I just saw there is an Indy car race in DFW today. Seems like they're moving the race up but still
The worst was that neighborhood in Harvest that seemed to get hit by every major tornado to come through.
So I should count myself blessed that I've lived basically my entire life in the SE and never seen a tornado up close or had to deal with one hitting my house or anything like that. Only have had straight line wind and hail damage before.
Y’all thought you had good nader footage but lo and behold it takes an EF3 hitting a metropolitan area filled with the absolute dumbest people imaginable to get the best stuff.
It’s a shame none of you are as dedicated as us Arkansans to bring content to the board and the internet
Text of the discussion mentions the higher potential for nocturnal tornadoes in the southern moderate risk... Just fyi.
Oh I'm well aware, 12-2 am. Luckily, the infant is up during that time eating so I'll take that shift to keep an eye on it.
Based solely on the sheer number of videos of the tornado, like frogs getting gigged by a flashlight, I'm very happily surprised there wasn't at least one fatality in Little Rock.
lomcevak what happened with that blizzard? We went from 8-17" prediction where I am to 2-5". Did it stay south rather than push north?
Surface low stayed south with strongest frontogenesis band also staying south. It really will be fascinating to really go back and look at it cause virtually every model had big snow everywhere but that didn't materialize. I shudder just thinking about the social media comments We had about 9" in Rapid as of 6am
Interesting. I teleworked today because last night NWS was forecasting the snow to start here at 9a.. nothing as of now. Interesting though that the models are still showing 6-9" for where I am
Gfs situation with her apartment is really a pain so far. I keep telling her it will be a slow process but it sucks because we got in there twice to grab things before the apartment complex deemed it unsafe. Worried the future rain will end up seeping across their entire apartment and ruin more things. Trying to coordinate between her apartment/Insurance/and a tow truck has been a nightmare.
Yeah. I mean I get it after going through Tuscaloosa. Just annoying because we were in the apartment after the storm and could have grabbed more and even potentially moved her car, none of it was blocked or obstructed.
