During a battle, two trolls walked out and everyone is like ohhhh fuuuuuuu. I curse both then hit them with a killing curse. Professor Fig then complains about me using the spell.
I beat the game with Slytherin and every time I try to log back on to finish off the collectibles my game won’t load :/
I haven't finished the game yet, but a large part of what I've found so cool is how authentic, real, and immersive Hogwarts is. Makes it extra disappointing that the world doesn't respond to your actions at all. Undercuts the best part of the game
Would also be nice if your character said nothing or at least did not repeat the same 3 things over and over "Wait....is that Merlin Trial? "Sometimes I think all roads lead to Hogsmeade"
Other reports are saying it will be just that, a season for each book. Nothing official has obviously been announced. I don't think recasting everyone would be a problem at all.
It has been long enough. A tv series was always the best way to do this. One book per season. 4-7 could be 2 10 episode seasons if they really want to drag it out.
my 5 year old just started expressing interest in HP, so this might be perfect. By the time the series is starting up she'll be able to actually sit and watch them.
Can't recommend enough reading the books to your kid(s). You will bond with them in way you both will remember forever.
I was old enough to read them to myself as a kid, but my brother experienced the first few books with my mom. He treasures those memories.
got 1 and another on the way. My wife and I are on the same page on how both will experience HP. We can't wait until our 2 year old is old enough to understand the books.
we're at 3 and it's utter chaos. She'll read the books when she's ready if she wants to at that time. I don't know when that will be. It may even be that watching the first movie or the TV series that inspires her to pick up the books.
No, I mean I think you can only shoot with child actors for a total of like 6 weeks a year and they can only be onset for like 40 hours per week. TV episodes generally take about a week to film.
was not aware of the child labor laws but that still doesn't make a lot of sense assuming the rules haven't changed much from the 90s. Ex, Boy Meats World pumped out 20+ episodes a season and most of the cast was 13 or younger the first 2-3 seasons.
sorry if I wasn't more clear. It did take a week to film each episode. Been listening to pod meets world and they talk about their weekly filming schedule all the time.
We read all 7 to our daughter in her first year of life (not a flex, just wanted her to hear as many words as possible). Going to get back to them here in the next few years with comprehension.
I'm just giving you shit so don't take this seriously. But I'm laughing at the framing of this. "Before you marry someone, make sure you're on the same page with all the important life decisions. Career choices, number of kids, where you're going to live, how your kids will experience Harry Potter, etc."
You are missing the correct order of watching Star Wars, whether your kid will watch live action Thomas the tank engine or the animated one, disney or universal, etc. So much nerd culture needs to be established
I think they’ve outright said or at least implied that things have changed with children and filming schedules on the pod though Though if we’re talking US law and this will be filmed in the UK, is it even relevant?
its certainly possible I missed that, but I still find that restrictive of a schedule hard to believe.
Bloomberg reported that it will be 1 season per book with JKR’s involvement, but not as a show runner
After all of the rumors and early reports and such, the tv series has been officially announced. “10-year commitment.” We’ll see eventually about release/casting! JK is an executive producer but hopefully that’s just nominal and we don’t have a few inserted filler episodes specifically written to attack trans women.
Its going to be tough to recast all of the main adult characters except maybe Dumbledore since they already failed once at recasting him RIP Alan Rickman and Robbie Coltrane
I believe they even said “all new cast” so no returning. I would absolutely love if they could do an early 30s Snape/Remus/Sirius.
I had no qualms with Rickman, Oldman, and Thewlis but the age gap from them to the book timeline was significant. Would be nice to have it track more with how young James and Lily were when they died
