I liked that they finally had someone in the group doing an interview explaining their actions/motivations for the turn bad. Really think they need to ditch the "Wild Thing" sing-along crowd entrance for Moxley and lean into the bad guy stuff more to try and get some sustained heat. There's a fine line between asshole and badass so I hope they make that distinction more clear going forward.
Some of AEW’s worst weekly shows were in 2023 and the lack of build for the PPV was roundly criticized so that’s just not remotely true
Or surprising given when he debuted, but Jay White signed with AEW prior to WrestleMania and WWE knew, hence why no chatter about him in WWE over WM weekend
What would wrestling do without having the benevolence of Dax Hardwood giving back. What a fucking mark.
I like BBC vs evps and amateurs better than the outsiders vs ogs Also, IMO 3 of the 4 pillars aren't prototypical wrestlers to build company around if you want to be more than a fetish project for a billionaire trust fund mark. .actually prefer wrestlers as marks over owners and evps
don't let the internet discourse keep you from having a fun time. If you went by the internet you would've thought Brock vs Omos was going to get booed out of the building at Mania and instead people were going crazy for the match
Wrestling events in person are always fun. If you don’t have fun at a live show then you are trying to not have fun
This makes more sense had Cody won the belt. You could shoehorn a triple threat in at Backlash where Cody wins, then Roman takes a break and comes back for the SummerSlam build.
Sure, but by the third rewrite it’ll be garbage. I kid, let’s hope it gets better. The more quality shows the better.
Or even better we could send the Bucks home and have Golden Lovers against someone with some talent like the Gunns
i think they were easing him back in after the long lay off. Expect him to be at the top of the card again very soon. He’s a star, they know it
I doubt it'll be more than a one-off but it still made the Gunns feel like way bigger stars at least for one night
Well he has zero creditability with me... But we definitely got a few posters who pay that loser's mortgage
Meltzer rated 7 matches 5 stars from 2000 to 2011. There have been 61 since the start of 2020 with most of the stuff he likes shut down for a good chunk of that.
That is the best match that I have ever seen in person. I think the IC Title match from Sunday is now second on my list.
