according to D3, that's not NIL related but a poor job of selling the kid on how he would fit the ND scheme at Dline...basically ND got out recruited by FSU on Fiske
He seems to have cooled off on those now since Washington is doing a good job on the trail…for now, until nil stuff starts happening again. i have seen that movie before
Like they say in the great state of Mississippi, fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice…..bbutt you can’t fool me again
i am still optimistic, it’s just so obvious that nd is not 100% in on the football thing right now. Serious/desperate programs are not messing around with this. They need a transfer, they get that transfer in.
Yeah. Totally obvious. Like I said, shut it down. Send our Spoiler trasfer QB elsewhere to play this year.
ND needs a safety- there’s only one worth a shit available Half the country also wants him If he doesn’t choose ND that doesn’t mean there are fundamental flaws in the team or approach
Two mistakes this off-season: not convincing Lenzy to come back with NIL money, he would shine with Hartman. Dudes making like 100k working a consulting job in Indy for fucks sake not taking two safety transfers in the December transfer period
Honest question. How many safeties do you need? Brown Watts Henderson Harper Minich Shuler I get you aren’t expecting much from freshmen, but expecting more than a body in the portal that wants to be the 5th safety seems like an ask. You would hope one of two give you snaps. I’d be interested in seeing safety snaps last year.
We are just conditioned to the kelly era where there were 1-2 positions that literally don’t have a backup
I’m confused by ppl in this thread it’s “doom & shut the program down” to “this is actually a good depth chart” the reality is neither
It has decent depth pretty much everywhere that was my only point. I think the safety talent is trash
Safety: At some point you just reach the point where anyone you bring in is just a body and doesn't add any value over just hoping that young players can help. - Notre Dame coaches in the portal - Brian Gutekunst on day 3 of the draft
Fact: The safety depth chart is mid/upper P5 level and while not great its still pretty darn good if that's the "weak" spot on a team Fact: Its disappointing seeing OSU have weaknesses at OT and DT and picking off top kids in the portal and USC having weaknesses at DL and CB and picking off studs in the portal Both things can be true, that our roster is solid with talented players but the closer we come the further it seems others are pulling forward. If that makes me "doom and gloom, shut the program down" that I was hoping Marcus wowed the RI safety like how Lincoln shuts down any kid he wants in the portals recruitment after their visits, then call it whatever you want.
it’s pretty much what I said, this program has some flaws but it’s still good. Just need to take the next step and being better and more aggressive in the transfer portal is a part of it. Sure Hartman is a nice trasfer portal qb like you so eloquently put it repoocs but how many guys with his talent would actually pick nd over bama? Hartman seems like the exception to the rule so far. since nil nd is not close to the top programs as far as transfers coming in to patch some holes. Not sure why we can’t say that without some people jumping the gun and saying that some of us want nd to shut the program down, this is all fixeable
that sounds like the name of an exotic masseuse I knew this program was to be flushed down the ducking drain
I don’t know honestly. I seriously don’t know how many safeties play. In past years I knew who the two main safeties were. I’m fairly certain Kyle Hamilton wasn’t a rotational safety at ND. If you told me you needed 8 safeties a season I’d say it looks short. If told told me 5 play a season I’d say they’re fine. Honestly, how many do you need?
Agree to disagree but I also have military friends that get 40% UA 4/5 times a year and I load up then. I like UA better for workout shirts
Feel like when you get the long ass Pete article we must at least have a shot. Need Freeman to turn that swag/charm up to 11
On second thought, Fanatics doesn’t produce their own footwear so that may be a sticking point. Fanatics powered by New Balance it is! A joint partnership for the ages.
Cornering in the dads mowing grass on the weekend crowd. Smart, it’s a group that never ends. Seriously, just go to Nike and be done.
On one hand, I’d like to think folks like Marcus have gotten us out of our old ways of being the least cool school around. So maybe Nike is realistic now. On the other, well we’re still Notre Dame.
