That wasn't my intent. I knew when I posted this morning what I was in for. Every time I post, it's dozens of replies guaranteed. I can't balance them all so I tend to stick with certain posters or conversations.
In this instance, Bud Light should have known that a substantial part of their customers are either shitheads or not brave enough to not join in the boycott because of other people being shit heads. I think there is a substantial part of the boycott comprised of people who just pick an alternative just so they don't have to deal with being ridiculed by shit heads around them. It's an easily replaceable product and they didn't take in consideration the potential backlash, as meritless as it may be.

I don't give a shit about the ad itself. I don't like the actual person but having a trans spokesperson isn't a big deal to me personally. Unfortunately, it is a big deal to plenty of others that will stop buying products based on what should be inconsequential factors. I also don't think this goes on as long as it has if the ad exec wasn't proven to hypocritical when she talked down about their customer base and if BL didn't put out that bullshit half-ass statement once this thing went viral. It fueled the flames when it was already going south. It was a multi-layered potentially catastrophic chain of events for the brand and down stream partners.
Those fucking idiots look to comprise of >20% of their customer base which is comprised of a whole lot more people than straight male Republicans.
