This brings me to a fun hypothetical not aimed at devine: What would you put the percentage of cause of that first round upset being based on the amount of time Giannis missed? I feel like Miami has honestly gotten more credit for that series than they probably deserved.
That isn't a good thing. It requires going down 3-0 as the 2 seed vs the 8 seed when the first two games were at home.
Not too much. Bucks went 0-3 in games Giannis played and 1-1 in ones he didn't. Or if you don't count Game 1 in the first category since he only played 11 minutes, it's 0-2 when Giannis played the whole game and 1-2 in games when he didn't. They weren't good against the Heat with Giannis in that series, either.
this ignores the extent of Giannis's injury. Not sure we will ever know how healthy he was when he came back
like the Tatum ones, feel like they are missing an opportunity to do Tzatziki Ruffles and put Giannis on the bag Lays had a limited edition tzatziki chip a couple years back and it was fucking incredible or Bring back Cajun Ruffles from the 80's and put fat Zion on the bag
that wasn't the road I was taking but yeah...there's that too. was referring to waiting for the ECF to finish up
In all seriousness, we give you shit for your earnestness. But hey, own it. (or start a nuggets team thread?). otherwise feel free to make fun of us back Nuggs / Jokic are on the threshold and its cool to see
We need to double down on giving him shit, because he would enjoy a title in a more pure and genuine way than any of the rest of us would.
Oh I am fully radicalized regarding my earnest support vs this thread's detached cynicism. I am doing it right and you all are doing it wrong. Also I think Jokic is a genuinely fascinating and interesting sports figure that possesses many of the personality and leadership traits society fetishizes in top athletes. Some of the stories in that pod are pretty cool and I want more people to hear them because I think they would enjoy it.
I have no problem with this I also kinda like the idea of a poster from the championship fanbase getting to start the next year's thread, like we do in the B1G threads
I am always looking for more ways to annoy and disappoint those around me so I'm game. Though imo hood b. goode is uniquely suited to the role and I'd prefer he keep it
Porter and the possibility of future back issues vs Paying Jaylen Brown a supermax Kinda tough actually
predictions: Nuggs in 5 (Joker MVP) Gm 1 Nuggs Gm 2 Nuggs Gm 3 Heat Gm 4 Nuggs Gm 5 Nuggs Gm 4 or 5 we get an ejection
but for real, Nuggs in 5 makes the most sense. and I am seeing that pick everywhere. So it leads me to believe it won't happen
Nuggets have the better team, the best player in the series, the most rest, home court advantage, and elevation on their side. Heat will still drag this out to 6 at minimum.
Miami was losing to Boston by 9 at halftime of game one in the last series. It then outscored the Celtics by 21 in the third quarter and won three straight games.
Jokic is an unsolvable problem, Murray is playing like a superstar in this postseason, the Nuggets have multiple big, strong defenders to throw at a hobbled Jimmy Butler, Denver’s role guys didn’t miss an open shot last series, and Miami’s second best player in the ECF was cut by the Hornets. Fuck it, Heat in 6.
Want: Nuggs in 7 Likely: Nuggs in 5 really just hope for all the games to be close and entertaining with minimal flopping as possible and no REVIEW THAT signals after every block/charge
