Just called in a pick-up order of a large 4 topping (pep, sausage, artichoke, black olive) pizza and the total is 35 and change. Egregious?
Large is probably $25, +$3.5 pepperoni +$3.5 sausage +$1.5 black olives +$1.5 artichoke checks out. But also black olives on pizza are gross imo
In general yes. I wouldn’t have them on that pizza. But at least artichokes don’t make everything near them on the pizza taste like ball sweat.
There's a place across from my house that's really good. One of my top 5 favorite pizzas. An XL specialty pizza is like 42 bucks. Have to do some soul searching every time I order it.
A speciality pizza around here caps out at $25….maybe $30 But I live in what feels like the armpit of America so
My B-I-L pizza place in San Jose charges $37 for a 20" 4 topping and is busy as shit. His pizza is pretty good though also has a great ipa selection. Stays stocked with Pliny
Feel like full pies are now $30 minimum from non chains. Fancy pants places in BK been extorting for years
Pizza hut just re opened here and I was excited to get it last week It was $42 for a large 3 topping, a medium double pepperoni and an order of boneless wings
For reference in Las Vegas, the best place(imo of course) is called “Brooklyn’s Best” and a 16” large specialty is ~$27. the local chain “Pizza Rock” has a 13” with those toppings for $29. or you can go to the strip and pay $75 for some school lunch pizza. Hth
Some damn food hipster YouTuber came through summer of 2021 and gassed them up on the unique crust, and nothing was the same.
this board is getting dangerously elderly that we're talking about how cheap things used to be back in my day
As for the actual OP - not that crazy, all things considered. One of the local spots here is $25 for a large specialty pizza. Accounting for COLA & extra toppings, it’s not insane. I wouldn’t order from that place once a week though
I don't order pizza once a week. At my age, it's pretty much a once a month treat. Carbs are the devil.
My wife managed to get a $38 pizza from Papa John’s a month ago. I wasn’t so much mad as legitimately impressed
