Veach and co were at a table in the VIP last night with one of those paper tape calculators and a bottle making plans.
I’m gonna get the Star today (already have last year’s and SB LIV) and do some sort of custom frame for all 3 front pages and hang that bitch in my basement.
I don't think Higgins really makes sense for this team. Need more of a burner so they can move on from MVS, so I think it will need to be the draft. I do think this is a good DL FA class and they likely swap in Wilkins or something similar in his place. A lot of guys are going to want to play on this Defense. Sneed is tagged.
Spags has had a solid 5 years of Andy Reidhab tm It would be great if he’s taken that time to learn how to run a team and eventually take over when Andy retires. I’d like to think circumstances would be favorable for him to succeed and keep this train rolling.
I just remembered this Felix play, happy he had a moment in last night’s game and hoping he balls out next year
I don’t have any memory of his time on KC radio being 3 when he moved on, but god damn, what a blessing to the ears of the chiefs fanbase to have Kevin then Mitch.
I don’t think it matters who is HC from that perspective so much as the HC allowing the right offensive people to have freedom to operate as necessary.
Thought dump: Love Pennel being back, even if he’s not as big a monster as he was before. Mike Edwards had the ruby slipper bedazzled Jordan’s on, which was hilarious Love Joshua Williams. Not a star in the secondary, but such a likeable dude. Bink type guy.
Good read about him here: https://www.kansascity.com/sports/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/article285216437.html
Just now recovering from a two-day euphoric stupor. Wow. That was fun. I truly never thought that this team was going to win it all. They just never seemed to put it all together and kept making dumb mistakes week after week. Then Playoff Patty and the D took over. Group setting with family was a fun celebration but it was so loud that we never heard Romo explaining that the clock rolls to a new quarter. So for the final :30 of that game it was just a bunch of us screaming at the TV to run a play or call a timeout lol. We let our 3 and 5-year old stay up until the very end so we let them sleep in. Took them to school late and my explanation was "well, it isn't every year that you win the Super Bowl". Or is it?
I joke that it’s less and less exciting every year when people make comments. I can’t make the parade tomorrow because I didn’t plan ahead, so I’m banking on that threepeat because I really want to attend a parade/rally with Patrick, Travis, and Andy still all on the team.
this super bowl W feels sweeter than the others because this was a flawed team and we went through the toughest playoff path to climb the mountaintop
Being on the west coast, it was fun watching the game in a house full of 49er fans. My friends nine year old kid starting crying when he realized the Chiefs won, that was a bit of a buzzkill. And in typical 12thMan fashion, yesterday was full of Seahawks fans trying to interject themselves into the conversation like they matter, sigh.
Nothing tops the first one - I legitimately thought it would never happen. (I had a kid born that day too - pretty cool). This one is definitely #2 though. Last year post-Tyreek was "the year to get the Chiefs." This year definitely was the year to get them given how they played. The fact that we won both of them has to be concerning for a lot of other teams.
I’ve just recently (25 seconds ago) found out Pacheco is Puerto Rican I would like to welcome myself to this fanbase
