You're very unplugged from today's popular music scene and celebrity scene in general cause he's been everywhere for a bit now. That's coming from me, who likewise am pretty unplugged from today's popular music too as I've never heard one of his songs but he's a pretty popular celeb nowadays.
At first glance, I thought Post Malone had gained a shitload of weight. I have honestly never heard of this person
Good dude with some good songs IMO. Had some hard times in life, turned his life around, and cool story with how him and his wife got together.
undrtow or anyone else got any good rec's for Winston Salem or are all the good courses private? Hitting up Forest Hills in Augusta on the way up.
Bryson / Homa / Scheffler actually sounds pretty exciting to me if they pull away from others I don't love Bryson, but he's more interesting than most people I could have imagined up there (Cantlay, Xander, Cam Smith, Koepka, etc.) and will be hysterical when he unravels
Bryson was always a top talent, regardless of how douchy he is it's good for the game to have him playing at a high level. It's good to have someone to root against too...
Good round today. Put up a 78 with 5 penalty shots off the tee. Turned the driver down a degree to 9.5 and started to find my groove with it. It was a tricky day with the winds. I walked 12 holes before jumping in a cart. First time I’ve walked since college. It wasn’t as bad as I thought.
We used the range at Forest Hills on Monday before driving out to Old Barnwell and I was pleasantly surprised by the looks of it. We played at a pretty bad course on Sunday that I wished we could have swapped in Forest Hills
I've played Forest Hills with one of the worst hangovers I've ever had. Lost/had my phone stolen the night before and didnt get back to my hotel til like 4am. I quit on 10.
have a bit of an issue that I'm struggling to figure out. im going to start getting into golf since now i have more free time/money and my partners all play regularly. im right handed but i batted lefty. I've swung both ways but i cant tell which swing to use. both feel about the same to me. any advice before i waste a bunch on money on clubs
if you batted lefty i would stick with that personally but I don't think there's a definitive answer here
you've got more built in muscle memory to tap into left-handed, i feel like that's the tie-breaker if both feel the same for you
I really, really hope his putter gets hot tomorrow. He burned so many damn edges today. Literally inches away from being either co-leader or outright leader.
Game is so hard to be consistent. Yesterday I was draining putts and had 5 birdies. Today looked like I picked up a putter for the first time. I missed 11 putts inside 7ft with half of those being 2/3 ft putts. Just a brutal day.
I’m so confused. Tiger hit a tee shot and thought it was probably OB, so he hit a provisional. He ended up finding his original tee shot, but it was unplayable. But you can’t use your provisional for an unplayable, so he had to go all the way back to hit a third tee shot. Seems like a very dumb rule and I don’t get why a provisional can’t be used for an unplayable lie. Is there some advantage he would gain that I’m missing here? Edit: I get it now. The rule does make sense. Knowing where the provisional ended up would give you the advantage of choosing between two balls in play.
I think the rule is meant to address the "this one might not count" swing of a provisional versus the "this definitely counts" swing of an unplayable.
When the first was found it was like the provisional never happened. I’m not watching but why couldn’t he find relief for the unplayable
It was way in the woods and he decided re-teeing was a better play. I get it now, having the knowledge of how the provisional ended up would give him an advantage of choosing between two balls in play. That actually does make sense.
I know how the rule works. I was more curious where he hit it and couldn’t find a place to take relief
Forest Hills is closed next weekend for a college tourney. Tried Aiken Golf Club, didnt have anything early enough. ended up with Mount Vintage. Get to drive through Gypsy Village. YAY
Yeah for the non-Tiger fans I get it because he's always going to be allotted a portion of the telecast regardless of him being in contention or not. For the Tiger fans, any tournament with him, and any new potential memories he creates >>>>> tournaments without him
