I don’t want to tell anyone how to live there life, but serving on the jury for a corrupt ex-president is going to be more interesting than whatever else you got going on
I lose more than half of prospective jurors in average medical malpractice trials for the same reasons. Nothing to get too worked up about.
Well, I mean, if you find him guilty he might have you killed (or at the very least ruin your life and the lives of your family members) after he wins the presidency in November. Bright side is maybe you could get a payoff for a not guilty finding
can't wait to read how many panelists they had to bring in to find, i'm guessing, jury of 12 and 2-3 alternates. i'll put the over/under at 700
How many do they get to strike? I saw earlier there's 200 jurors at the court house today. If they second 100 go like the first, you're looking at 70~ to chose from.
70 isn't going to be nearly enough i don't think. there are two ways to strike jurors: for cause and basically just because. each side gets 10 just because strikes right now they're at the most basic strikes for cause. like i just straight up don't like trump or i like him a lot so i can't be impartial. there are going to be a shitload more struck for cause once the attorneys get to start talking to them.
surely this will be the final straw for all of the insane "sanctity of marriage" weirdos that worship him
Yeah, but they get to "write" a book and make a little change while having their 15 minutes. Plus, you get to put away a conman. Tough decision.
If New Yorkers are too scared of some idiot posting things on the internet in rural Idaho then they can’t act like being from New York makes them tough anymore.
The best way to makes this jury is to pretend to be the smoothest brained centrist. The type that wakes up in November on election day morning not knowing who they're going to vote for like a hs kid on signing day.
