You disliked all 31 songs? “Vault songs should stay vault songs” comes across as all encompassing and I really like a number of vault songs
I think that's misinterpreted. It's saying she didnt need to release all 31 songs. Much like she used to edit her albums down and not release everything, hence the creation of "vault songs".
Gotcha. Yeah I certainly have not liked all of them and would agree some would’ve been better left unreleased
Back on topic, "But Daddy I Love Him" is WILD and threatens to ruin the album for me Taylor is well within her rights to tell the fan base off in regards to her dating choices, she can write songs about how much Matty Healy sucks, but I don't think she can tell the fan base off for scolding her about how much Matty sucks AND THEN ask us to empathize with 20-plus songs about Matty when the fan base was right all along.
I like what Sturgill's about but some people just don't like country. I am from the country and I don't like country. Not sure why so many flip for it but hey, I like what I like, so can they. Someone like Sturgill or Tyler Childers is >>>>>> radio country.
I totally get that. But this song fucking slaps and is not really country. If you can't find something Sturgill does that you like, that's a you problem.
Shit hits. It was on over some shitty crackling FM station on my way back to my hotel. Now chilling at to give it a spin to hear it better.
Sturgill just seems like a strategic, contrarian, manufactured artist/music… “here’s a new twist, I’ll sing about Joe Rogan podcast topics instead of driving down back roads and sitting on the porch swing” and I think people ate it up because of that without asking “is the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard?” Sturgill Simpson is the crypto of country music.
I mean whatever but I think most people fuck with Sturgill because he’s a genuinely musical guy and from one album to the next you don’t know what to expect and always works
