I think he killed themselves just to end it...during the finale they said he was getting put on death row.
pretty sure he was on death row for killing that guy in prison, so he probably wasn't going to be having any contact with the general prison population to harm him. Was going to die, anyway, and was miserable, so they gave him his out.

When I first saw the outsider biker guy, I had him pinned as a Fed immediately. Just didn't think it would be a A-USA, which I found incredibly hokey. A biker attorney with a crumpled up business card. Let me guess, next we'll see him reading a philosophy book? The story would be much smoother if he was another lead fed. I recognized the voice before I even saw FUCKING RONNIE. I'm glad he was able to get those charges dropped and get a job with the Feds. He got the last laugh over Vic it looks like. I wonder if they find out the snitch was actually a snitch at some point?

Haven't read any posts in this thread. I finished season 1 and have been meaning to begin on 2 and then 3 so please don't spoil shit for me. The new commercials on TV have done enough just showing me Jax cuts his hair. Are there spoilers in this thread? And if so, are they at least hidden?

Well, I'm back on board with Kurt Sutter and co. I hated season 3 as much as anyone I think(probably more), but I loved the season 3 finale in so many ways. Today was a huge step in the right direction. Loved the new DA/sherrif, seem way more potent/smart than Stahl or Hale, plus they didn't make them shitheads that we have to root against like Stahl. The Cops shouldn't be the bad guys just because they are opposite the Outlaws. Really looking forward to getting the focus back on Clay vs Jax, Team Jax all the way.
Technically we never saw Lem actually die. It appears he just went into witness relocation in northern California.
Hale would have been a great character. He started out as a hardass deadset against SAMCRO and he slowly turned to see the good SAMCRO does for Charming but always remained loyal to the badge. Killing him off was a huge mistake. Watching him have to pair up with SAMCRO to go against his brother would have been great television. He would have been a much better character than Unser.
