I'm pretty sure the same thing happened with Happy for awhile in season 2 or 3. I noticed that when they asked him to proxy in his vote. After this last episode and the previews for next week, there's no way Clay stays alive until the end of the season. He's completely off the deep end. It looks like Gemma is even starting to turn on him a little.
So Clay is essentially responsible for killing Opie's wife and dad, and Jax's dad. This is the only way it can end for Clay... Spoiler

I actually think Gemma is about to get got. She knows too much and the Tera problem can't be handled until Gemma is out of the picture. Jax is about to become an Orphan.
Isn't it pretty obvious that Clay is going to think Tara is driving up alone only for the contract killer to be met by Jax?

Also, I hope that Juice doesn't fall for the Fed's ploy at getting the club out free and just nabbing the IRA and cartel...however that could be a plot tool of how to get SAMCRO out of the cartel without getting destroyed supposing the Fed's are somehow able to take out Gallindo.

So does Clay get got in the final episode after Jax is with Tara when the hit is supposed to go down? If so, I guess Jax takes the helm and who knows what happens in later seasons?
No way clay makes it to the last episode. After what happens to Tara next week I don't know how Jax can not go after clay as soon as he gets back to Charming. Clay will be dead before the season finale.
Who becomes the antagonist if Clay dies? Opie needs to get some camera time also, hopefully some shit goes down with him when he finds out about his pops.

I thought there were more than three episodes left. With that being the case then I could see the season finale ending with Clay getting killed by Opie and Jax. Jax beats the fuck out of him without wanting to kill him but Opie comes up and finishes him off similar to how he did the ATF cunt.
kinda disappointed Danny Trejo hasn't gotten more screen time. Unser is gonna turn on Clay at some point and tell Jax some shit imo.
I like this ending. Still don't know if Tara lives though. Her out of the picture gives the best and most plausible reason for Jax to stay in SOA. Will be interesting to see what Otto does too.
