Spoiler supposedly season 2 of the TV series is going to have a huge love story arc with Robb and his girl...this will only enhance the madness
Thats awesome. There are so many things the books don't spend time on that the show could use to enhance the story.
I love how we all have reached the acceptance stage of our grief for the young wolf and are now just waiting for showfag misery
Same here. Don't read unless you've finished Spoiler Was patting myself on the back big time at the end of aSoS because I figured out the Queen of Thorns was the one who poisoned Joffery, too.
Spoiler dunno she was fixing Sansa's hair net which had the poison on it, and was right next to Joffery and Tyrion right before Tyrion filled his cup. Pretty coincidental to be a lie, IMO Littlefinger was just in on it (to get Sansa away from the Lannisters, so he can control the North and the Vale) and played Olenna into doing it, but I'm only halfway through aDwD, so I know nothing
what i've learned regarding the current spoiler topic: Spoiler don't ever underestimate baelish. if you've ever read "Tipping Point" he is most definitely a "Connector"
just finished ASoS...blah blah blah red wedding blah blah blah Dead Viper blah blah blah Tyrion's last chapter was fucking money. Gearing up to power through the start of Book 4. I swear to fucking God I'm gonna be pissed if there's a Catelyn POV that's internal thought monologue... Spoiler "Oh my grief runs so deep but alas I have not had time to properly mourn the fact that I am a zombie "
Finished Book 3 last night. I definitely think it is the best of the three so far and most of my sentiments are consistent with the rest in this thread. I raged when Robb died. Was glad to see Cat died. Threw the book across the room when I thought Arya died. Was happy to learn she didnt. Tyrion's final chapter was my favorite in the book. Hard to dislike Jamie at this point. I still haven't figured out who Jon Snow's mother or parents are. I have always figured he was the child of Rhaegar and Lyanna but his birth was hidden from Robert and that was the promise Ned had to make to her on her death bed. Then again Jon doesnt have blonde hair like the Targaryan's. Who knows but I am anxious to find this out. I think that Season 3 will have to be either 12-13 episodes or they stop it at some point and have the end of season 3 feed into Season 4 since everyone seems to think FoC is the weakest book. Such a tremendous series and story.
your John Snow theory just blew my mind. I too just finished Book 3 a little while ago and pretty much echo your thoughts on it. I'm only a chapter or two into the next Book and am stuggling to get into the new POVs at his point because I keep thinking about how 3 ended.
R+L=J is the commonly accepted theory http://towerofthehand.com/essays/chrisholden/jon_snows_parents.html set the scope to book 3 since you haven't finished book 4 yet
well they had 5 years between books to come up with those, they have at least that long til the next book comes out
I think the Prince that was Promised is Bran and him and Jon will be the other two heads of the dragon.
