It's tough to just recommend places without knowing your budget. I had a great experience at CraftSteak (MGM), but the dinner ended up being $220 a person. You could certainly eat there for less, but there are likely places that will get you more bang for your buck.

Well, I'll have a decent chunk to take with me, but I'm not sure ab everyone else I'm going with. One of the guys is looking for a job so doesn't have a lot to spend and the other guy is in law school. Doubt we'll be spending that much for a meal. I start my job the week after I go to Vegas so I'm ok with spending a grand or so while I'm there. I don't want to spend every thing I have, but there's money I had saved up while I wasn't working that is left over I don't mind spending bc I was saving it to get me by.

If you're going with the bros that usually means food courts since it's impossible to decide on a single place. I was able to round up my bros the last time we all went and we ate at BOA Steakhouse in the Caesars shops. It was pretty good.

Yeah last time we hit up fat burger, the pizza place in NYNY, and some other places like that. I'm sure we'll figure out one nice place to go whilst there. A few of the guys I went with last time got the $6 steak and eggs at bills after midnight or something like that sounded pretty :blech: to me

If you're hungover, Serendipity 3 outside of the front of Caesars looks like it is right out of Sex and the City, but the food is damn good and the portions are gigantic for a brunch/lunch ~15 per person.

Food better have magical powers for me to pay that for a meal and I am not that cheap. Id be much happier spending $3 at McDonald's and having $200 for the casino.

It's obviously not something I would do every time I'm out there, but there aren't many better experiences than eating off a chef's menu at an elite restaurant. We were treated like Kings (and I'm old enough that I have a gambling budget and a spending/food budget these days).

I cant wait till my next trip either(have no idea when im going, hopefully May or June). Only problem is none of my close friends want to go and my other group of friends are part time or full time poker players and they are fuckin crazy. so I might take my gf for her 21st even though it sounds like a really BAD IDEA,

If you ever want to really, really impressive your wife/significant other when you are in Vegas, take her to Picasso at Bellagio. The food is amazing and you can get a table right in front of the Bellagio Fountains. It was probably the best overall dining experience I have had in my life.

went for my boy's bachelor party back in march stayed at the aria. there was a large group of us so we ended up with the 2 br suite which was amazing. would also recommend craftsteak and sage at the aria for real good food. If you are a beer fan they have a beer pairing menu at sage which was real good

pretty sure my buddy is gonna stay there so odds are i'll crash in his room. I mean basically im paying like $7 for 4 nights at imperial. Flights from houston are like 360 and the cheaper ones stop in denver and in no way am i risking landing in denver and being stuck there for a week. so i found this package with flight and hotel for 367 and I couldn't pass it up

Need to keep playing so the room is comped. Then all you really have to worry about is your gambling funds and the flight.

If you're at Imperial Palace it's part of Caesar's network. Just make sure you drop your card whenever you're playing. You'll get discounted rates first, then comps. It's not a one trip kind of thing unless you're dropping big dough.

Not exactly. I'm saying do it now so the next time you go you'll get a discounted rate (if not better) which allows you to bring more money, which allows you to eventually get a comp.

The benefit to using it now would be to potentially work off room charges (room itself, gift shop, restaurants/buffets, etc). Go into the VIP room and ask them what your time of play and average bet was when you check out and see if they can do anything about the room charge or additional charges.

I've also heard ab the $20 room upgrade "trick"..has anyone tried this? I'm staying with another guy and I don't really want a king size bed and I'm not sure if IP has 2 queen suites. I'm already in a deluxe room (which is the exact same as a classic room) so I dunno if it'd be worth it to get a king and share it.

I've heard it works, but it hasn't worked in either of my times trying. The nice thing is they give you the $20 back if they're not able to do anything.

Big thread on Vegas Messageboard about the $20 trick. Some places are near 100% some hardly ever take it. Another strategy is to drop all your gambling funds in 1-2 days instead of spreading it over 5. Makes your ADT look way bigger. So gamble hard and heave on 1 or 2 days and use the others to do other shit or play low and off your card. Money management can do wonders.

Also, tip. Tip well and the pit boss will catch that and raise your average. I've had craps sessions where I never have more than $50 out on a given roll and I was rated at over $100/roll before odds. But I took care of the crew and was sociable with them. Same way with drinks. Tip a $5 up front if you're staying at that table or machine for a while and she will come back way faster and more often.

The things Vegas looks at is average bet and time played. Those are the two totals you want to build up. You also get more points for playing slots and other games where the odds are further stacked against you.

I sit at the video poker machines at the bars to get free drinks. Put in $20...you have to play $1 hands and the bartender comes over immediately and gives me a $10 drink.

dunno how I feel spending my money in the first day or two. I don't wana be sol and have no money. So do you tip the dealer or waitress good? Or both? I'm usually at small minimum tables

Yeah, I usually keep the dealers on the hardways for $1 on the craps table. Play $1 for the dealer every few hands of BJ. Plus just tossing a few bucks every now and then. When I'm going to be somewhere a while I'll tip the waitress $5 up front then $1/ drink after. I play $5 tables, $10 single deck BJ if that's all there is.

the best way to get hammered in vegas is to head to mermaid's downtown and put $5 in the texas tea nickel slot

the waitresses only make tips so they're super aggressive...you'll soon find yourself ordering 1 drink every 1-2 minutes, and it's downtown so the drinks are way stronger than on the strip

last time I ended up winning $2 at the slot machine and spent like 15 on tips, so I got absolutely shitfaced in an hour for $13 net

then went to el cortez and won $80 playing craps
