Plans changed. Feb 20-25. 5 nights comped at Flamingo in a Fab Luxury room. Not sure what they are but they look better than the standard rooms?
Confirmed my Bachelor party will be in Vegas one of the last two weekends in July. Gonna be hot. What is an appropriate amount of time to stay? See some go Fri-Sun. Some stay through Monday some go Thur to Monday. Guess it all depends is the answer I'm going to get...
Thurs-Sun or Fri-Mon imo. Fri-Sun would be more than enough, but I can't get mad at arriving Thursday night for some low-key gambling.
i think you have to do at least 3 nights i mean ive never been but any time i go on vacation/a trip theres a huge difference in the 3 nights and 2 nights
That 3rd night is really the hump night in Vegas. Makes you extra hungover and miserable on the way home from Vegas. If you can get through it you're good, but it's brutal.
Going in October of 2012. No idea where we are staying or what all we are doing yet, just that we are going at that time
I like doing 5 night trips. Usually the flights out of here arrive late so the first day/night is pretty much killed. Then the last day is taken up by getting to the airport and suck. Those are vacationy type trips though, not bachelor parties. I'd say do 3 nights that way you have enough time do do w/e you want but can still go hard the whole time without getting too worn out. Where are you going to stay?
Do you have airline tickets yet? What kind of budget for hotel/food/booze/gambling do you have? Are you into high end or value?
Not sure yet. Didn't want a massive group going, only 6 or 7 going. So either two rooms or a 2 room suite/condo in one of the attached towers. Don't really have a budget right now either also have zero clue how much rooms/suites would cost.
I was planning on going over Superbowl weekend. You should change your schedule back, I'm bringing bitches for you.
If you want a 2 bedroom suite check out Planet Hollywood Westgate. Good prices on their suites, plus attatched to PH which is a good spot on the strip and it's pretty "hip" i guess you could say. 2 bedroom suite is $1200 for the 3 nights, $66 per person per night is pretty good for that IMO. Big, very nice. Best value for this level of accommodations by far. You can get 2 adjoining rooms at any hotel, anywhere from $400 - $1k total depending on how nice you want.
Lol my boss just asked me last night if I wanted to go the 4th-7th too. After I committed the $ to this trip. Some compelling arguments for me to go that weekend as well
But also something to think about, most 2 BR suites are king beds, so you're still short sleep space. 2 Adjoining 2 queen rooms is a good option IMO Also, do you or anyone else that's going have a players card at MGM or Total Rewards or any of the other Vegas companies?
Going out for a bachelor party on the weekend of the Sweet Sixteen. Any tips for best airfare deals? Checking rates periodically (twice/week), but can't find shit out of KC for less than $400.
Suite is cool, but almost seems almost like a waste. I doubt we'll be there much. I think everyone is either married or engaged so I doubt we'll be bring womenz back to the room and need privacy.
Good luck getting anything. The airlines know that March Madness is a big event in cities like Las Vegas and will gouge the shit out of the customers on the dates before and after rounds.
Nope, which sucks. Most of us are east coast guys & have rewards cards for some of the AC casinos, but I don't think the Borgata (main one we go to) is apart of a company or conglomerate. I'm doing my brothers in AC in March and will be using my reward card & comps for hotels and shit.
Definitely grab 2 adjoining rooms with 2 beds each. Imperial Palace is good as anything for a bachelor party home base and is cheap as hell. Plus the gambling nearby is cheap. Access to the rest of the strip is easy because it's kind of in the middle. Easy walking and short cabs most everywhere. If you're not above riding a bus full of drunk tourists buy a pass and take the deuce downtown or anywhere on the strip that's too far to walk.
Sign up for Total Rewards (all of caesars properties http://www.totalrewards.com ) in AC and play a little on it. Should bring some decent room offers for Vegas via their website.
Hmmm....I've gambled a decent bit at the Harrah's in NOLA, but I don't if I had a card there. Or threw it away each time I left pissed off. I'm going back to NOLA for work in January. I'll hit it up once or twice and play some. See what happens. I'll be near the Harrah's for my brothers, but might be too late if we've already started booking stuff.
Drive down to Wichita and fly Allegiant Air. Horrible small time airline but always cheaper than flying from KCI. ICT airport is loltastic, 12 gates and awesome 1970s decor.
You can always cancel and rebook with a comp offer. Not a crazy sellout weekend. I did that weekend this July.
Was pissed I couldn't be there for the NFR but will be in Vegas for the Miss America pageant. (Wife ran for Miss NE and almost won, So she knows Miss America from NE) and Miss NE this yr. Going to get back stage passes.
Getting restless. Anyone feel like talking some vegas shit? 2012 ACG came from Amazon today. Dammit I want to live vicariously through you guys until my next trip!
Next trip turned out to be Feb 20-25. I was booked for 4 comped nights at Caesars dec 19-23 but the other people who were going couldn't so I scratched the trip. I'm still pretty bummed because fuck knows when I'll ever get CP comped again... But yeah I have a countdown timer that is counting down to the time my plane is scheduled to land. as of right now it's 69 Days 7 Hours 16 Minutes, 24 seconds. :bartscottcantwait:
I just searched travel sites like a mofo. found a deal out southwest that was better than the other sites. Most of the sites will have ab the same price. Since you're so far out you will prob find a decent deal. I booked a month out and found a flight and 4 nights at IP for $360. Granted IP is cheap as shit so tht helped
Which airline? I always fly Allegiant. Round trip for feb was $170 after all taxes and fees. Cheap and direct.
Not bad. Never stayed at IP, but I've gambled there some. I like the old school feel and asian theme of the place. From the looks of it after next year it won't be the IP anymore. Caesars is dropping the brand. Might become a Horseshoe. Also heard they are doing the same thing to Ballys which sucks too. I'm kind of a history buff so I like that kind of stuff. Gonna be sad if they do away with the history of those places to make them modern and upscale. That said, I also like hanging out in the new high end places because shit is 100x nicer than anything in my every day life.
lol yes..I was blown away by the Palazzo and Venetian. Of course, the Bellagio is nice as shit too. When I'm I'll stay at some of those places. My friends are staying at Planet Hollywood so I'm gonna guess if we're ever hanging out in a room it'll be theirs. Not really ever in the room anyways. I don't care that I'm staying at IP as long as I have a place to crash and throw up if need be I'm fine.
the room is literally the last thing you care about...that said I will one day stay in a badass suite
Yeah right now that's all I need. But if I can I'll stay at some place nicer just to do it. This trip I might take 2 days and go hard on my MLife card instead of Total Rewards and see what kind of comps I can squeeze out of the MGM places. They usually average your money risked by days in your stay, but since I don't have an MGM reservation I'll look like a baller if I drop all of my gambling cash in a day vs 4-5. Got CET comps on lock for a year based on my tier score and whatnot from this year so I might as well spread it out and see what I can get elsewhere.
Was looking at the Rivera the other day and I can get a penthouse suite for like $150/night for my dates. Thinking about doing it a night just to say I have a penthouse suite. That's cheaper than a lot of places are asking for a regular room.
some friends stayed in an aria penthouse suite, the place had two bathrooms and on each side of the bathroom were two sinks...eight bathroom sinks in one room also a big ass tv and heated toilet seats
lol I would never drop my gambling budget in day unless I won big and dropped the winnings in a day. You really want those comps, huh?
I can't wait til I can afford that kind of shit. There are some high rollers over on VMB and their vegas stories are un fucking real. Talking about taking Vegas for 6 figures in 4 days and being merely satisfied with that take. Like it's expected.
Eh, I talk about it but never actually do it. But I really am thinking of focusing on MGM places rather than CET. Also really like Cosmo but have heard that it's super hard to get comped there and their system is pretty fucked. Nice place tho.
I saw the most beautiful girl I have ever seen at Cosmo. She was a waitress in the bar. I sat there and ordered $6 domestics just to look at her.
