I feel like the show kind of pushed it. It was like he was loyal (although still an asshole) until he went back to the Iron Islands and everyone mocked him. Then when he found out he wouldn't just inherit his father's seat he was out to prove himself.

Seems like a good way to end ep 4 with everyone all WTF, but who knows. I've got high expectations for that scene and the shadow birth scene with Melisandre.
GRR said in the video posted in the Another Excerpt from Winds of Winter thread that the one titty hanging out dress is not in the show
welp since they 86'd One Titty City, I'm gonna go with Renly getting murked by the shadow Jaqen H'ghar's 3 MurderDeathKills Battle of Blackwater Bay and pretty much everytime they show Tyrion as the King's Hand being a fucking boss
He might have. I guess this thread is for those who have finished book 2, so even if he hasn't woken up, it should be obvious that he would be injured.
Why the fuck did they change so much this episode? I mean they have changed some things before, but this episode they changed a shit ton. Edit: Talking about episode 2
I know everyone hates Theon but if I were him and I went to the Iron Islands for Robb to talk to Balon and he gave me that shit it would have been a different story. He would not have given me all that bullshit. I would have said "I'm sorry your pussy ass decided to bend the knee to Ned Stark but he taught me more then your bitch ass ever would have". I would have sailed right back to Winterfell and made sure Robb's ass became the King of the North. /rant
True. Watching episode two just really made me think about that more. I mean his dad was a condescending douche bag when he got back and just kind of made it seem like it was Theon's fault for being a ward at Winterfell. Then to top it off he's all about Asha being his heir. More or less, I don't know how I feel yet about the casting of Balon in the series.
