Just heard a new one: "Gosh, if Peggy wants to screw something up, why doesn't she just stick to Bobby?"-Dale
I'd actually put it behind The Simpsons in terms of GOAT animated shows, but ahead of everything made by Seth MacFarlane or HB.
School Nurse: Mr. Hill, I've diagnosed your son with Attention Deficit Disorder. He's probably had it for years. Hank Hill: What? Well, how come nobody ever noticed this before? School Nurse: Very few people have access to the pamphlets that I do.
I once took a week, stayed high, and watched the entire series from beginning to end. Great fucking week. Although, looking back, it was probably a good deal longer than a week.
pfft. Cotton, Kahn and Joe Jack were all voiced by Toby Huss aka Artie, The Strongest Man In The World aka Big Mike from Reno 911 aka The Wiz from Seinfeld.
i used to dislike this show but as i get older and wiser and find myself becoming more and more like hank hill every day. the dude is wise and he is a good american peggy hill is one of the worst characters on TV though i think we can agree
Neither of you are true King of the Hill fans. Peggy is probably the most multifaceted character in the entire show.
its just her voice lock me up in a torture chamber with her voice being piped in and i'll tell them anything they want to make it stop aside from that, good fucking show
your first guess was right. she's an amazing character. she's written to essentially infuriate you with her odd combination of inexplicable hubris and general lack of common sense. you sound like a hipster douche trying to talk about it but grasping the character and how well done she really is becomes essential to truly appreciating the show in all its greatness.
child please this is why she's so fucking annoying also currently watching the episode where the Mega-Lo Mart explodes killing Buckly
Yeah, but at the same time, she's tough as nails. She really is a complicated character. You look at episodes like the one where Bobby is kicking dudes in the nuts, Peggy is the one who finally puts him in his place. In the episode where they all go back to the farm she grew up on in Montana, she's fucking doing farm work, while Hank stands arounds like a useless dickweed waxing poetic about the country side and eating up all the crazy shit Peggy's dad says. You laugh at her, but at the same time you have to respect her a little bit I think. She's rugged.
I took Striker's comment more as him saying he hates Peggy as opposed to him saying she wasn't well-done.
i just hate her voice i didnt realize we had so many KOTH hipsters on the forum who would defend peggy hill to the death
your words were "peggy hill is one of the worst characters on TV though i think we can agree" not "peggy's voice is irritating and I dislike her for it". don't backpedal out of your retarded way of phrasing your opinion.
Is hipster like a universal insult now? Like, I disagree with you about Peggy Hill, so; HIPSTER!....just doesn't make sense.
she sucks a lot but she is a great character you are supposed to hate her. Because no normal man would ever want a woman like that in his life, let alone in Texas/any Southern state
a couple of my favorite instances where I hate Peggy: - the episode in season four where she writes Bobby's essay on the flag and is bursting with pride over getting a good grade on it - whenever she refers to spaghetti as spapeggy
you successfully illustrated the fact that she is tough but her toughness is what makes her such a bad fit as a wife for any man that is such a traditionalist like Hank. She lived in a Texas where you don't need to fight off Comanche tribes
I agree, but I'm just saying that I respect her for it. When the shit hits the fan, Peggy goes to work, despite what an arrogant, oblivious, retard she is.
I have given out more likes in this thread then probably my entire time on the mb. This show is as as it gets. One of my favorites is from the isle 7 episode (GOAT episode) where Kahn Jr. gets her period. Hank: Bobby sometimes women are like a tire fire....you just have to watch it burn....grab a beer and watch it burn.
From the pilot Hank responding to Bobby asking if he can just not swing and take a walk: "don't play lawyer ball son"
