I was thinking if Marlins ballpark had statues, who would they be of? I decided on Jack Mckeon, and Edgar Renteria (not for him, but for the moment).
so who is going to throw the first pitch? Please don't say the Mayor of Miami. I want Marino, Zo, Conine, & Jovo to throw it out.
Sampson said major shit was going down. Now I know he's a dirty cocksucked but I expect big things. I want McKeon to throw it out. Maybe a CJ, and Conine too. I just hope it's not someone stupid like J-Lo or Enrique Iglesias
gchat with a friend... me: im afraid of our bullpen this year theyre going to get really bored Friend: YES Friend: that's why they put the clevelander next to the bullpen
No way. Park had arepas. Friend had one last night. Also. The clevelander had bacon wrapped hot dogs.
my 3 guesses: 1) Charlie Hough 2) Wayne Huizenga 3) Because Loria is a fucking asshole and wants to be an exclamation point on the stadium.....Tom Brady
Where? I walked the entire park on the main level, checked every single concession stand....nothing. Were no separate arepa queen stands either
Holy fuck, will get one Wednesday night. Also on a sidenote, the Orange Bowl had the worst food I've ever had. The hotdogs were just atrocious, and the only thing edible was sold outside the stadium by people on the streets.
clarkspencer On opening night #marlins will wear black tops, white pants, orange caps, orange socks, orange helmets 4/2/12 4:46 PM
I parked at the Palmetto station. $4 to park $5 day pass for rail. Take train to Culmer station. Get off and have buses waiting to take you to stadium. After game. Line of buses to take to to Culmer. Then train to whatever station you parked at.
The lime green and the county fair thing are just awful. The windows and skyline are really nice, though. Roof is nice, too, if it works. Apparently it didn't yesterday so the infield was soaked. Overall not bad, but could have been better with a little more tame colors and with the thing.
My bad. It affected Sunday's game. Didn't realize it actually happened Saturday. http://yankees.lhblogs.com/2012/04/01/sunday-notes-sabathia-confindent-heading-into-opening-day/
The green almost looks like a placeholder as if they meant to put something there and just haven't or forgot to. hopefully they aren't waiting for Miccosukee to buy all of it.
