Churchill was the fucking man. Apparently had such a bad stutter when he tried to talk off the cuff that he'd rehearse everything he'd ever have to say. Everything. So all those famous witticisms he's known for? Preprepared. Side effect was that, because he had to engage in debates as a politician, he had to anticipate any question he might be asked, and prepare a response before hand, so he knew the oppositions viewpoint even better than they did.

The Churchill War Museum in London is amazing. That was one of the things I learned there. Another was that during his meetings he would doodle alliterative witticisms and japes just so that he could use them at the most appropriate times.
