We're now to the point that TC is praising players for not losing by more than 3 goals. God damn this season gets more hilarious by the minute.
No chance. So yeah, Jez Moxey will probably blow off every candidate and give Connor the keys to the kingdom.
TimNash1 More gallows humour from #Wolves fans. South Bank singing 'Que ce sera, sera, wherever we'll be, we'll be, we're going to Barnsley'. 4/22/12 12:50 PM
Stâle Solbakken is the current odds on favorite to become Wolves manager. He led Copenhagen to 5 Danish championships in 6 years, then took over at Cologne which was just relegated from Bundesliga. Cologne seems like a fluke year as they have financial/ownership backing similar to that of Blackburn. I'd take him in a heartbeat over TC. Copenhagen plays attractive football.
I want this at Molineux. I really hope we don't drop the ball on this cause Everton is waiting in the wings.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKd7tNlyTX4 Kid is pretty damn impressive. Just mute it cause the music sucks dick on this.
Yea he is. He's apparently expressed interest in playing for Wolves. Definitely helps that we've got a huge Scandinavian following.
Solbakken went back to Norway with 38 DVDs of this year's Prem fixtures and was supposed to start on July 1st. He's pushed that date up to June 1st due to his concern and how badly he wants to start discussing transfers. Thank god we have someone that wants this club to be better for once.
Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson will be at Molineux in a month contingent on his health. Lillestrom wants 4 more games from him since their transfer window isn't the same and they know they can't replace him soon enough. Looks like it'll be a £3m deal. New kits have been unveiled. I'll post some pics later. My first impression was underwhelming because of a lack of black accents but it's growing on me. The color is darker than recent years and the collar isn't terrible. I loved 2010/2011's with the black collars though. These ones look a little too much like a polo. No other news on transfers at the moment. There's a hilarious rumor that Spurs want Stephen Ward. I think we can safely say that one's false because no one wants Stephen Ward.
A little speculation for now. This is where I see our lineup for our opener at Leeds. Doyle - Sigurdarson Jarvis - O'Hara - Kightly Davis ?? - Mouyokolo - Batth - Zubar de Vries
It's anyone's guess on who goes in the transfer window and I'm absolutely sure Sigurdarson won't be the end of the new arrivals. We need a new LB, CB, and possibly a RB. Think we'll be good between Davis and Henry in central defensive mid. If Jarvis goes, we need a new LM. Hunt sucks dick and Forde will contribute but I don't think he's quite ready to start. RM is covered between Kightly and Hammill which should both be able to terrorize the Championship. I still won't be happy with our forwards though cause I must be the only one that doesn't believe SEB will regain his Championship form. He's a fat, lazy slob now.
It sure sounded like we were. Obviously he can't pass a physical right now but he was far and away our best player last season and has earned a shot with a bigger club. I think he'll ultimately go.
Seems we're fighting harder to keep Jarvis than Fletcher. Both have ~12m price tags thanks to Jordan Henderson's outrageous price last year. Plus the new Sky deal seems to be driving prices up a bit. West Ham offered 3m for Jarvis and we promptly told them to get fucked.
Haha did he score a goal on a throw in? I cant tell what happened at the 320-335 mark. He is pretty impressive though.
Nouble has been out on loan A LOT. Has potential, but I see him as League 1 kid at the moment. I am guessing Wolves view him as an insurance policy they were able to get at a great price.
Fulham said to be willing to put in 10m (supposed valuation) for Fletcher. Here's the lovely new kits. They're growing on me. Ståle has brought in his number 2 in Johan Lange. Said to be one of the brighest young minds in Denmark. Hoping that pushes Terry Connor out the fucking door. Jamie Tank from Walsall and Frank Nouble are the only ins so far. Sigurdarson is supposed to join after his last Lillestrom match on July 13th. Wolves leaves for training camp in Ireland on the 16th and they aren't really sure if he'll join them for that yet. He's obviously in better form than anyone else already since Norway is in mid-season. Nobody has been shipped off yet. Hoping the exodus begins soon. Ståle apparently offered Roger a second eleventh chance. The fans already fucking hate him for showing up drunk for training and being the only one to not clap the fans back. He's been booed several times, and is apparently best mates with Jamie O'Hara, so we can burn a few bridges in one go if we play this right.
David Davis and Karl Henry look straight boss in the new kits. Look like they're about to kill a mother fucker.
Rumors that QPR are close to signing Matt Jarvis and Sunderland is all but a done deal for Steven Fletcher. I'll believe it when I see it. Moxey is still saying he's received no bids for anyone other than Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, who has moved to Petersborough.
Milijas, Guedioura, Kightly, Ebanks-Blake, Hunt, Zubar, and Berra are all down to the last year on their contract. Looks like STS is willing to sell all of them. Swansea have put in a 5m bid for Doyle. Fletcher is being valued at 15m now. Him and Jarvis said they'll honor their contracts if Wolves doesn't find suitable compensation for them.
We didn't even wait until the end of the 2nd day of pre-season to tell Leigh Griffiths he no longer has a future at the club. How bad could he have possibly been in just a day? Welp. There goes the 2nd creepiest looking player at the club. Other news: -Henno is on schedule to return in November. He did some light running the first day of pre-season. -We wanted to make a loan move for Savic from Man City, but it's already apparently fallen through. -Ståle is taking his time on awarding the armband (my vote is for Henry or Davis). -Adlene Guedioura looks to be the next exit from Molineux. Rumors that he's undergone a medical at Nottingham Forest, subsequent to their takeover. Him and Elokobi spent the season on loan there and Addy was widely regarded as the MVP as the pair dragged them from the clutches of relegation.
Looks like our next player will be: Vadim Demidov, central defender for Real Sociedad and Norwegian international The Scandinavian takeover continues
Solbakken is at Fredrikstad's match today to see his latest target, Norwegian international Tarik Elyounoussi. Scandinavian takeover back on?
If we complete this signing, can we change the name of the thread to "Vikings, Vikings everywhere..."?
