I think they gave me a range of like $90 - $175, depending on materials used and the bells and whistles you throw on that ish.
Never been to Sunburnt Cow. I'll have to try that out. I had a great experience at Essex, no problems getting drinks. Oh well. Another not well known brunch spot - Hop Devil Grill. All of their craft beers are included. Food is only okay, but $20 for 90 minutes of craft beer is fantastic.
THere are some things I need to work out (like how I'm paying for it being chief among them), but I've been admitted to Columbia for the fall. Let me bask in the TMB NYC smugness
I have to do 2-3 semesters of undergrad and then hopefully into the business school for my MBA. Kinda sucks, but I've been out of school long enough and was lazy enough in the first go round that I couldn't get straight in, so it wasn't all that unexpected. Still an incredible opportunity that I can't pass up.
Tried to go on Friday night at like 9:15 or so, but they wouldn't seat us till 10:30 Ended up going to Deici, right next door. Had never heard of it before but the menu looked great/unique (it was Japanese/Italian fusion) so we gave it a go and had an awesome meal. Bummed I didn't try Graffiti, but will definitely make another attempt soon.
Never seen anything like it. I ordered miso-glazed black cod, which was served over a bed of mushroom risotto. Was awesome. There was also sauteed asparagus with Japanese duck bacon, which was really good too. Here's the menu: http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/dieci/menu
Finally made it to nyc. Times square sucked a giant Dick. Went to the Jimmy Fallon show which was awesome. central park was beautiful. Saw all the touristy stuff and went to some great food spots and hit up some historic pubs etc. I hate the hustle and bussttle of that city, fucki.g hated it and will never go back but damn the food was good. Overall fuck new York, I prefer Jersey.
Hey bruhs, I know we've got a laundry list of dope restaurant suggestions but I need to narrow it down. Girl's birthday is coming up and I wanna take her out. Nothing super fancy, but I want the food to be on point. What y'all thinking?
SF not sure if you saw but the pok pok restaurant (not just the take-out place) opened about two weeks ago: http://ny.eater.com/archives/2012/04/pok_pok_ny_andy_rickers_brooklyn_thai_restaurant.php it's about 1 mile from my office.
Used to. You're straight, just make sure they check exactly how many cleanings you can get in a year covered. Assholes at my dentist charged me 80 bucks last time because they didn't check my policy before they scheduled it, and I was about it and didn't check either.
I chipped my tooth 2 weekends ago in the dark shitshow that is Phebe's late night. I have Emblem Health and the dental coverage is pathetic... literally 1 dentist in Manhattan south of 96th St and it was some unknown dude in LES. I care about my teeth so I went to a friend of a friend and paid out of pocket (luckily he didn't kill me with the bill). Good luck man, no dentists take insurance in NYC is what I learned.
I'll be down in NYC for Saturday night to celebrate my buddies graduation from West Point. it'll be him his fiancé and I, where do you NYC bros suggest we gonto get drunk
