Yeah thanks. Despite the article comments, I think a big reason some (especially me) would choose the Incredible is the size difference. I know I have no desire to have a mini-tablet.
Does anyone have the Rezound and recommend it? I am thinking about getting that tomorrow (so I can keep my unlimited and save at least $30 a month) and if the Incredible 4G does ever come out, just paying the $35 to switch to it then. I think the other option would be the Razr Maxx. Anyone have experience with that? With both?

So my contract is up this weekend and I have to buy a new phone. Ive had an iphone 3gs for a while now and have been trying to figure out which way to go now. Ive looked at the 4s obviously and I know what Im getting with it but Ive been looking hard at the htc one x and other android phones. Can you guys give me a run down on android and why I would enjoy it over a 4s? The one x reviews make it seem like one of the best phones onthe market. Thanks
I don't know about everyone else but being able to watch flash videos and easily dl free music are two of the biggest of many plusses for me. Bigger screen makes a huge difference as well. No way I'd go iPhone given the choices
The One X looks so slick, wish I had an upgrade. As for Android it's hard to give a quick rundown. Really going from 3.8 inch screen to a 4.7 inch display is the biggest thing spec wise. That's really a crazy difference and I don't see why apple stays with a tiny screen.
Yeah maybe its because I know what iphone is gonna offer me I keep leaning towards the one x because everything i have seen has practically been positive. I worry that the phone will be too big but I assume I will get used to it. Flash would def be a nice welcome though since psk brought it up. Whats the free music dl though? I just use spotify now so not sure it will affect me.
Picked up the EVO 4g LTE last night, haven't played with is a lot, but what a great phone. I was surprised at how much larger, albeit thinner and lighter, than my OG EVO it is. It is the brother to the One X, so after one day of playing with mine I would highly recommend the One X to anyone looking at it.
I wouldn't. I want to easily be able to operate with 1 hand, have no desire to watch movies on it, and want it to be an easy fit in a pocket, holder, etc. Honestly the 4.3's push that envelope. The 4.7's are way too big IMO.
When I got me new EVO they didn't actually give me a gift card. They just applied it to the phone which was awesome.
From this post I have learned that you have small hands, like a carny. Seriously though, I love the bigger phones for websurfing and email. Also, I frequently remote in to my work PC with my phone and the bigger screen is really helpful when trying to navigate

Hah. Probably pretty average, but the 4.0 is just much easier than the 4.7 phones, because nothing is a reach and it really does make a difference in pockets. Yeah I don't do that with my phone and would never use it for that with laptops and tablets available. Obviously web and email, but I don't 1. See it as a big difference (maybe because I have great vision, so I don't have that issue) or 2. Do it long enough without access to a computer, laptop, or tablet as a better option.
Whole lot of stuff today. Jellybean looks great, can't wait to get it. Solid iteration on ICS with much deeper features. The Nexus 7 is what we thought it was, but still impressive none the less (also I pre-ordered mine, went with 16gb). The Q looks badass, but not sure it's worth $299. The Google Glass demo was cool, but still don't know how I feel about wearing a computer on my head. Especially in public. Yeah, I'm not in love with it, but its a decent media reader app. Love Google Currents on my tablet though.
If I knew it didn't skip tweets and held my spot, it would be all I'd use. Explain currents to me and how you use it. I've messed with it a little and didn't really see its benefit over twitter.

Got Best Buy to price match the $79.99 on the Rezound. Went with them because they have no restocking fee and a 30 day exchange policy. If the Incredible comes out I will go with that. If not I may go with the Razr Maxx if they have a sale on that and I am not happy with the Rezound. Still able to keep my current plan with Unlimited.
I've been meaning to list my favorite apps on here for a while, so here goes: 1Password - To, well, store passwords. AdFree - Requires root, eliminates ads. ASTRO - Not my favorite file manager, but easily calculates md5 sums on the go. Audio Manger Pro - Quickly check/adjust all the volumes on your phone. Beautiful Widgets - I love the forecast animation when opening and for quick glance weather. Cam Scanner - I use this to scan receipts when I'm on the road consulting. It's life changing, seriously. Chrome - The best browser hands down. DeskSMS - Send/receive texts from anywhere. One of the best apps ever. Evernote - Use it for everything. Amazing cross platform note taking app. HDR Camera+ - Because the camera on the Galaxy Nexus kind of sucks. JAYS Headset Control - Allows me to use the controls on my Klipsch S4i headphones. Light Flow - Requires root. Another one of my favorites. Allows you to customize the color of the notification light on your phone depending on the notification. Minimalistic Text: Simple text widget I use to display current weather and battery. Very customizable. MX Player - For the rare times I watch divx/xvid movies on my phone. Nova Launcher - The best launcher for ICS devices, in my opinion. Tons of options and very smooth. Rom Manager - Requires root. Honestly, I just use this to set up recovery session that flash multiple things. And for nandroid backup management. Root Explorer - A must have for any rooted phone. Change and file on your device. Simple Calendar - Much like Minimalistic Text, powerful simple widget with tons of options. SMS Backup and Restore - Crucial for anybody flashing roms if they want to keep their texts. Tapatalk - Great online forum browser. Titanium Backup - Requires root, to backup my apps and more importantly app data. Total Commander - The best file explorer on Android by far. tTorrent - Sometimes downloads on my phone are fickle, so a lot of times I just torrance. TuneIn Radio - Hate the ads, love the ability to listen to any radio station no matter where I am. White Noise - Ambient noise app. Helps me sleep in hotels.

Is there a discreet camera app out there where the entire screen doesn't show what you're taking a picture of. I saw the most unbelievably hot woman in an airport and couldn't take a pic in line for security because 40 people would have knew I was a perv taking pics for my efriends.
I got that all set up last summer trying to land a development contract for the summer but that fell through. Using a VM just didn't seem worth it keep using it afterward.
sorry for the late advise but I love my maxx the battery life is outstanding and its still small to me. Also got the text about my impeding ICS update today.
Thanks. Really doesn't matter because I decided not to get that today anyway, but may decide on that in another life. The battery life is a great thing, but I am skeptical about whether it really is as good as they say. Can you really use (and actually use it) it all day without charging it? I have just gotten used to carrying an extra battery on gamedays and other times when I won't be able to charge it up. That obviously isn't an option with the Maxx with the non-removable battery, but supposedly it wouldn't be needed if the battery life claims are pretty much true.
heavy usage I can go all day without charging my battery. unless I was streaming netflix for 12 hours straight or some shit like that. I average charging it once every 2 days.

also the the above poster asking about Razr maxx they are probably releasing a followup soon (1-3 months id guess). If you are trying to game the verizon/data changes, then i would still recommend it. JB looks so good. apparently there were some code inefficiencies in ICS (some devs had made it immensely faster). And despite the price match and the rep telling me I would not get a $50 gift card with it, I just got email confirmation of it. Soooo...if I keep the Rezound I basically got it for $29.99. If I decide to exchange it for the either the Incredible 4G or the Razr Maxx I still keep the GC. Nice little bonus I didn't even expect. Maybe if it gets that in mid July I could get that. Would be nice if it is on the Incredible 4G also. Thanks.
Went and checked out the one x today and holy shit it seemed awesome. Screen is huge and its light as hell. I think thats where I am headed unless there is a better android phone someone suggests I look. Ive loved my iphone and have had no issues but I think I want to try something different.
