Honestly it all comes down to whether or not Richt is going to grab his sack and play Rambo and Ogletree. I think Our D was really undisciplined Saturday and everyone was trying to make the big play which left lanes wide open for the QB to run. We really need to get Theus back as well. Im kind of glad we had that type of game to punch us in the mouth and have a shitty week of practice instead. I hope we feed Gurley the ball. As its been stated here a few times, these are the types of games where out of no where we steam roll a team, but with our recent history it wouldn't suprise me to see us come out flat again. Ill be there Saturday and in KC Sunday for the Falcons game, any suggestions for tailgating either place.
I think the game may come down to Murray, but he'll have to play a lot better than he did in the first half v. Buffalo. If he's on, we should be ok. I hope our ridiculous lack of pressure was due to completely stripped down blitz packages. I'm skeptical, but stranger things have happened. Otherwise, we could give up a lot of points.
I agree that you didnt roll Buffalo is a good wake up call. Mizzou had a pretty easy time with SE LA, as they should have. That game didnt really tell us anything. It did seem like our OL gave up some pressure at times, which is not good. On the tailgaiting, unfortunately I havent made it back to CoMo in a couple of years and they have changed a lot of shit with tailgating lots and stuff. I grew up in STL so I cant help with Arrowhead either. miles BLACK & GOLDschlager jaygabriel could probably help you out better with that.
Well, we got no pressure. Don't know if it was focus, suspensions, vanilla play-book, or just flat not being able to get done.
Yeah, we were extremely vanilla too. No play action, misdirections, just strait ahead zone reads, and quick slants for the most part. On D, it was just a base cover 2. Very few blitzes if any, no stunts, no zone drops - nada.
Yea, I think we only ran 6 different plays on offense. I really have no idea what to expect. Too many variables last week to even give an honest answer.
Closer we get, the more I think Rambo and Tree will be suspend. That's based on nothing other than Richt's penchant for trying to teach life lessons over winning football games. Otherwise there has been nothing either way on their suspensions. Mitchell, 99% confident he plays. Richt is "confident" that Theus will play and described his injury as "minor." Don't know if that is the truth or gamesman ship. I believe it's the former.
I'm just going to go with the theory that everyone is suspended until I see them dressed out and on the field.
Its funny that the pov each fan base has. Most mizzou fans think Rambo and Ogletree play. On the injury front, starting LT is a little gimpy after last weeks game, and our LG who was held out of last weeks game is still questionable.
If you guys beat UF and we don't do something stupid, then we both could be undefeated and the 3:30 CBS game in 3 weeks.
