I think OU has more "potential" than Tech, but I don't think you can cap on potential. There are way more factors that will nullify or outweigh talent and potential. Home field advantage, matchups, injuries all play bigger factors than talent IMO.
Miss St is -10.5 now, obviously a bad line before. I would actually lean Kentucky at the current number
Locked these in: CFB [358] KANSAS STATE -24-105 CFB [361] ARKANSAS +10½-110 CFB [370] STANFORD -9½-105 CFB [372] TEXAS TECH +5½-110 CFB [384] OREGON STATE -15½-105 CFB [364] PURDUE +3½-110
Did they come out and say the original line was a mistake? How does that work, are the original bets honored?
Yeah if you confirm any bet in that's on the board it's honored. Usually they'll take the game off the board and put it back with an adjusted line but any bet confirmed is honored and still considered action.
Public all over the over and it's moving the wrong way...I like it. How did you end up doing last weekend?
A little early in the week but here are some RLMs. Some just 0.5 points but just noting these for now. Utah under 47.5 GT+10 Temple+5 EMU+3 UConn+8 UMass+16.5 Vandy+6.5 Iowa St.+11.5 KSU-24---Not RLM but I like them here Arkansas+10---Don't really like this one. What are you Auburn guys' thoughts? Purdue+3 Texas Tech+5 UNLV+25---Don't really like this either Marshall+3 ND-13 Buffalo+14 Nebraska+3 Florida+2.5---Really like this. SEC guys that have watched these teams more than me what are y'alls thoughts? MTSU+3 2:30 slot is fucking loaded for games I personally want to watch and play but I'm going to Lubbock for OU-TTU game which is also at 2:30. Kinda sucks but a pretty big first world problem.
Done with NCST after watching them play defense last week. That team was tough to watch. their secondary really is the worst secondary I've seen in a long MFin time.
I wouldn't bet on us beating Arkansas by DDs. Don't see how we beat anyone by DDs. From what I've gathered, their pass D is the weakness. I mean the whole defense is a weakness, but Pass D is where they give up the most big plays. We don't have the QB to take advantage of that. They should still be able to break off some big plays against us. Doubt they'll be able to sustain drives because our DL should manhandle that OL of theirs and get some drive ending sacks, stop the run, etc. I bet the total for this game should be insanely high, maybe even around 55-60. I'd take the Under. I honestly couldn't pick a side. If there was a game for Frazier to "break out" in, which I'm not saying like a heisman break out or anything even remotely close - think game manager that doesn't make any mistakes - we will win by 14-21 just because Arkansas has given up.
My bet is honored at Pinnacle. I Pinnacle. Sucks that none of you guys can use it because it's so much better. I dropped 50 % of my account on it. (Right around 7.5k)
I don't think so because it was 14.5 at a couple different books. Could have been a typo at one of the books (maybe Pinnacle) and the other books just copy Pinnacle's lines which on the surface seems to be the case a lot of the time if you follow the lines. It says it opened at 10.5 at CRIS though so I really don't know. Currently at 9/9.5 at places which is still way high IMO. From an outsider's perspective, I think Miss. St. should be favored, so it looks like Vegas is begging people to take Miss. St. Wish I would have gotten it at 14.5 obviously but this thing still reeks of trap.
Oh wow. I've been reading it as only a 4 point adjustment instead of 24. TAS yeah that was definitely a typo by Pinnacle and they are going to get burned by it. Never seen anything like this happen before.
It depends on how the online book wants to deal with it. I had a wager taken away and my $ credited back when I used The Greek. I took a second half line of +35 pts when it should have been posted as +3.5 pts. I use bookmaker now and here is what they have posted: 24. In the case of an obvious error on the posted line, scheduled time, or maximum wager, any wagers will be deemed a "no action" wager, and all money will be credited accordingly.
I just looked again and they cancelled and gave me a free $500 from pinnacle staff. So I think they gave me money so I did t complain.
Greek used to fuck up 2nd half lines on a nightly basis. Never had one of them go through. All were found and cancelled
That's the only time I ever had a problem. On Bookmaker its a little harder on second half wagers. Every fucking time I hit submit the juice has adjusted or line has changed. So I check it and resubmit and it has changed again.
there were reports all off season that stoops has lost the team and there seems to be some systemic problems within the program. i am buying this info now, after seeing the first 4 weeks of the season. when i first heard this info, i thought the tech game could be a huge problem for them. i think people will like OU in this spot, but probably haven't watched OU much the past 8 games they have played (mainly, minus broyles). these people are betting on the OU who dominated the conference for much of the 2000s.
It's an interesting game. I don't think anyone knows what the real Tech team is or the real OU team is yet. I'm taking OU as I bet against Tech 90% of the time in a big game. It's a win win for me that way. But I think Tech wins and I wouldn't be surprised if it was double digits. (Obvious homer disclaimer)
so you're making a bet with the idea that you think you'll lose it? and possibly it won't even be close?
just starting out sports betting. what do yall think about this bet? I know parlays are sucker bets but its only 20 bucks FloridaSt-14.5KansasSt-24MississippiSt-10OhioSt-3(-115)Northwestern+3(-105)TexasTech+5USC-14UtahSt+7WashingtonU+24 20 to win 6727.17 YOUR TOTAL BETTOTAL POTENTIAL WIN $ 20.00$ 6727.17
I learned that last week when I put down 110 to win a 100 and we had a couple opportunities to cover and didnt
I wouldn't say never bet on your own team. I hit when we played Auburn and Florida State (just have to look at it rationally and pick your spots). I would say never bet against your own team. That's rule #1 of sports betting.
See that would drive me batshit. I hate losing money gambling, but I hate even worse when my team loses.
I never bet with my team only time I ever bet them is against them. Biggest play I ever made was against them. Last year LSU -11.5 when that number I opened I put 10k on it. That was the biggest Spoiler lock ever.
I used to play poker as a part time job and have had a couple grand sitting in front of me, but I dont think I would ever have the balls to bet that big on a single game
